No, he didn't even do a grab. If you look closely, you can see that Hugo is doing the first few frames of a super jump. Since he spun the stick fast enough, the gigas canceled the super jump.

What I don't understand, is at 4:55 Hugo could've punished that SRK with a buffered Gigas and ended the match right there.

The recovery time for the ex shoryu is very deceitful. I think he wasn't prepared for it so he didn't want to risk losing all his meter on a bet.

@at1withWii Sean was the best for the reason that ken is so good. But they slowed his normals down so much and nerfed his super arts so bad that they made him shit tier. Sean was the chun of 2i, Chun was the Sean of 2i. Amusing, really.

Sean isn't played because he blows dick and ken is the same thing only with priority and the ability to punish without a super. Elena isn't played either because all the good elena's are playing top tiers as well. Elena's not bad and she's mad underrated.

Man, the low tiers were beastly at this tournament. Q's b+HK to dash punch is pretty clever! And that Hugo was beastly! Also the Alex is Kazuya, they said it aloud. I knew there was a Kazuya Alex but I've never seen that reading on that kanji before.

at 7:12 he says "Oi, Kazune!" and that kanji can be read that way...like you said, never seen it as kazuya, but it might just be him using a slightly different name

Kazuya's Alex is killer. Probably at or close to Zangoefu's level, maybe even better than Genki and KSK.

I notice that he's really good at charge buffering. Probably the best of any Alex. I don't think his parrying is up to par with KSK though, and especially not Genki.
