Oh my, now i am dieing to see this film. it looks so moving. People like to ignore that fact that incest is out there, and think it is wrong but love is love no matter what and i find this film one of the great ones that represent that fact :)

I have recently bumped into this 2009 Brazilian film, which addresses a rather polemic topic: incest. I have browsed through interviews with the actors and a few reviews, and it looks the film handles the topic with subtlety . I will watch it with my wife since I myself would not know how to handle a situation like that.

I find this so meaningful in such a simplistic way. Perhaps this is what love really looks like. The essence of love, a love so thought provoking in its innocence that it has stripped away all conventions of what we've been taught love is supposed to be. This director, along with the actors portrayed this with different eyes. If you see this film with conventional eyes, I'd have to say you're wasting your time and most likely wouldn't get it anyway. If you want a thrill of a lifetime, see it.

I love this movie! I cannot stop watching--so beautiful, and thankfully it allows the viewer to think and doesn't fall into cliched plot traps. It's more about love than societal expectations/mores. It's as if the depth of connection is so profound that being preachy about it would be pointless. Regardless of how you feel about what's going on, it's mesmerizing.

@beautifullion69 Don’t worry. This movie was quite controversial here in Brazil so there are thousands of requests for a DVD rip. As soon as they deliver a good rip of the film, I let you know. Since the majority of Brazilian films come with English, Spanish and French subs when launched on DVD anyway, it shouldn’t be hard to get you a copy with them. Also, most Brazilian films can be found on Amazon.com (well not all of them but a lot of them, I sense this one will be available). Cheers.
