the excerpt on drugs was honest, drugs muddle real life, its just as diverting as an eating disorder. They just gave her another distraction from her actual problems. I hate the societal idea of drugs as a quick fix, thats all they are, a fix. Hannah's life is tumultuous, she only truly starts to get better when she can concentrate on something outside her own head.

@alicen657 Even once someone considers her/himself fully recovered, they can often have relapses. And even without relapsing, it's constantly nagging in the back of your mind.

I know exactly how she feels. Having to live with it myself for many years....

But sometimes if everyone did leave me alone esp. when i was at my lowest i would be dead.

So even the way her family are trying to help can be comforting at times.

anytime I see girls like this on tv or movies, I can't stand the way they are all sweet and precious to their family sometimes.. maybe it's just because my parents drive me crazy anyway, but when they badger me about food, I just want to slug them. if that was me, trying to be that nice to them would make me want to vomit.

it's called family therapy. A therapy form to challenge anorexia... A learned it a my study psychology. Cause the family is sometimes the reason that people have an eating disorder.

Poor Hannah. I remember when I first started eating again for the first time after Ana - my mum used to take me to friend's houses and out places to eat as if to show off my new trick of eating like I was some prize winning dog jumping through hoops... :(

i know how she feels, being watched like you are going to do something and they have to catch you. in the hospital they sit and they stare at you like they don't trust you, i guess that's what i need, but i feel like a child, and i understand how angry she feels.
