as much as i know barbra is GREAT vocalist. i cant stand her head driven (very well mixed yes) but heady chet notes, - its just not appealing or impressive to me

so i say mariah takes it over all

They sound similar in the mid-range, but Barbra's is rounder. Now from E5, Mariah takes it. And Mariah has the better lower register.

Regardless, they're two of the most musical singers ever and these are two of my favorite Christmas albums ever.

I did not see this video coming lol. F3 - Tie (Mariah's volume and sound diminished a lot on those F3s...weird...) G3 - Mariah Bb4 - Mariah B4 - Barbra C5 - Barbra C#5 - Barbra D5 - Tie Eb5 - Tie E5 - Mariah Great video...I loved it ^^.

Considering Mariah had arguably the most vocal xmas album of all time, she really has no competition. But thanks for making an original video. :)

although i think you should have said mariah E5 was also an F#5 or else people would think the F#5 is the E5

Fan of both. I must say that Barbra was sick during the recording of this album ad her voice sounded a little dark what gives some kind of cozy , warm flavor to the album.
