1.Got finger caught in Erector Set motor,
2. Burnt fingers on hot plastic mold injector / 'Creepy Crawlers' ? No, actually, I think it made Army men (?). Freakin' HOT !!!
3. Burnt fingers on wood burning 'burner' (like a soldiering iron)
4. Burnt carpet under 'American Flyer' train set transformer/wire/track clip (short)
Coulda burnt the house down !! Why didn't they protect my dumb a** ??
That motor hurt like a SO a B !!
Will never forget these 4.

I have an Eldon Bowl-A-Matic®,
I originally got one for Christmas at age 4 in 1962.
It didn't take me long to break it, as it had this annoying habit of seizing up in the pin reset crank.
Many years later, I bought one from a Chicago toy store for $515. I used it a few times, and then ...
... you guessed it. Pin reset crank seized up :(

I love it. But I think the kid with the train set in the pool was later electrocuted.

I always wanted one of those miniature bowling lanes. This film really takes me back to my youth! Thanks Ira.
If you look at the cover of the Popular Mechanics issue at the :52 mark, you'll see that the actual date is November 1962, (not 1959).

The little boy with the Play Doh is wearing a tie. In 1959, I was 7 years old, and no way would you catch me wearing a tie, even back then.
