I had one 6cm Oscar and one 4.5cm Jack demsey in my aqauriam tank! Red devil and oscars should never be housed together, ya oscars have big mouths and a bad attitude but thier skin is soft and not armored like the devils making it pretty much a unfair fight, i remember i tried a tanked mixed with 4 oscars and 1 devil.....everying seem ok until the lights went out and i went to bed, when i awoke i awoke to 3 completely dead and tore up oscars and 1 barely alive swimming in circles missing a fin and both its eyes..all the fish had no eyes....must be a delicacy

i own a few fish;dovii jaguar oscar buttikoferi and red devil.on the terms of aggression,teeth,and fighting style their bad ass fish.the only fish that can SOMETIMES beat my red devil is my dovii and jaguar.the oscar is the least dominent fish and i can't add any more because it dies sooner or later.for example:i added a convict and a day later it was dead.i added a green terror and it got killed 3 days later.red devils are truely bad asses.get one your self
