Only reason why people hate this game because it isn't like the Budokai or Tenkaichi ones. After playing Super DBZ I asked myself WTF was I thinking by saying the others was the best ones. Budokai 3 is great for fast pace battles, Tenkaichi for flying and eviormental battles but Super DBZ beats both in the amount of moves you can do. Overall I had more fun with this one than all of the others.

Making it a 6 attack button game, or even 4 attack buttons, would instantly make it way more appealing to fighting game players everywhere.
This game takes a lot more skill than all the other dragonball z games I've seen. If I can ever manage to get exceptionally well in game design, I'll make a dragonball fighting game similar to this.

I like how smoothly the environment crumbles and breaks, unlike modern games where you scrape the tipd of a huge boulder and it explodes, or where there's no parts that break at all.
And this game had great reception because of its balance and gameplay resemblance to Street Fighter (only it was 3D). My brother thought this game was crappy, but he likes broken games anyways to be honest.

The only DBZ games that truly deserve to be taken seriously are this one we're currently viewing....and the mother of all: Budokai 3. Those games are actually played at tournaments and shit. They're very well balanced, smooth gameplay, all of your favorite special moves, characters, etc. I mean, Budokai 3 added the teleport and dodge mechanics that only made the game so much deeper. It's...just...it's a legend among anime fighters, let alone the fighting game genre in general.

Indeed, Burst Limit could have been one of the best DBZ fighters if they had added more content (mainly the Buu arc stuff) and made a couple of gameplay fixes (mainly improving the netcode and nerfing Vegeta and the Aura Spark). It is such a shame they decided to ditch it in favor of the more casual oriented Raging Blast games.

Trust me, you didn't miss anything with Sagas XD But anyway, does this use the Street Fighter engine? Judging from the way the moves looked I came to the realization that this might be SF's engine.
It's not Street Fighter's engine, but it's pretty similar. Still has quarter-circles and such, from what i'm told. I wanna try it out if ever i get the chance.
@jiraiya2006 I agree with ya. Just look at it. you can fight outside the arena here, it's a fairly simple game to learn, it moves fluid, and look at the colors! True to the manga! This game is definitely a win to me, and just to tell you, I actually kinda liked Sagas, you may like it and may not, you might need to try it.

It looks okay kinda like budokai but budokai is like tekken and this is like streetfighter - tekken is better than streetfighter but this game is still okay cuz it's dragonball z and I like fighting games
they already have. check out Bleach Dark Souls(DS). The game is pretty good.
But its not as good as this. Super DBZ is probably the most Unique DBZ game out there. They need to make a sequal to this with some online play and more characters. Since you can customize your character's skills and all.

Between I did laugh at this lmao, I have Super DBZ, i just played it like 10 mins ago, and I can say this is the worst piece of shit DBZ game i ever saw in my whole life, Budokai 1 pwns it hands down and on top, how can you call this shit harder than Raging Blast ? It's the easiest game lmao I just beat arcade mode like shit with Chichi seriously either you're doing it on purpose or you're mentally retarded. And atleast Tenkaichi 3/Raging Blast gave more challenge than this broken game.

I already got Tekken 6 on xbox that's not the point, and Raging Blast has a budokai tournament already and in my country they are making challenges in Fnac and any other game shop about Raging Blast + DBZ is a legend of manga if you noticed It's not the pretended "sucky naruto" .And Raging Blast can be a challenge against pros cause you will need to think of a tactic to pwn him easily before he spams combos at you not counting if you could beat 40 pros in a week that would be when pigs fly lmao

Personnatly I rather buy RB than "Suckiest Fighters", the new one is broken i prefered the old one, Street Fighter can't be for next-gen consoles,and if you want a real DBZ challenge mate, buy Budokai 3 put Z3 mode and you will get your ass kicked in less than 1 minute.

Ppls do buy it just like RB, but less ppls buy it if you noticed compared to before there were even MORE ppls buying it not just a packet and If you're not into DBZ games that's your opinion but you can't say RB is easy as fuck, If you want a goodass hard DBZ game, It's either Burst Limit on very hard, Tenkaichi 3 missions 100, Budokai 3 Z3 difficulty and Raging Blast online pros or with a good difficulty. Tekken on Xbox is same as the PS3 one you just need to get used to it

@TeenGohanZ Ddue raging blast wasnt really a challenge at all. Just a redo of the DBT series with updates as usual. This game was a time off from the average DBZ. AND personally this piece of trash is the only DBZ to win an award. It is a great DBZ game and to me deserved a sequel with a story mode and more charter's, with a more in depth move list. GAME HAS POTENTIAL. But hey if you think Raging Blast is better thats your opinon

This game could've been better if it had more characters but I still wouldn't like this game cuz it SUCKED BALLS!!!!!!!!...but that's just my opinion. It might not be because I'm not a fan of street fighters and this is what this game is like(TEKKEN FAN ALL THE WAY!!!!) cuz I rented it and forgot what it look like. I didn't even keep it for long cuz it bored me to death.

i have all the games myself but i still don't dismiss super dbz, just because super dbz is not tenkaichi does not me it can not be to other people i'm not preaching to you, its like me saying pepsi is better than coke because i tried coke once and its crap O.o.
the games controls can be harsh at times only because it originaly came out in the arcades and it got ported over with a few extras. i haven'y played it in the arcade and proberbly never will i'm just happy it came out i got to play it

It's not Street Fighter's engine, but it's pretty similar. Still has quarter-circles and such, from what i'm told. I wanna try it out if ever i get the chance.

@jiraiya2006 I agree with ya. Just look at it. you can fight outside the arena here, it's a fairly simple game to learn, it moves fluid, and look at the colors! True to the manga! This game is definitely a win to me, and just to tell you, I actually kinda liked Sagas, you may like it and may not, you might need to try it.

It looks okay kinda like budokai but budokai is like tekken and this is like streetfighter - tekken is better than streetfighter but this game is still okay cuz it's dragonball z and I like fighting games

they already have. check out Bleach Dark Souls(DS). The game is pretty good.
But its not as good as this. Super DBZ is probably the most Unique DBZ game out there. They need to make a sequal to this with some online play and more characters. Since you can customize your character's skills and all.
