Missing Upper Laterals

what if they are pointy??? does that matter?? i need braces too though would that look weird with two pointy laterals??

I have this also, but last year my dentest made 6 upper composite facings. So he made from te last molar facing the teeth iv'e been missing. ( A tooth in disquise) I don't know how to explain but i ame verry happy with the result. Only thing is dat i wished I did not know this possibility years before...

There is no difference in wearing braces twice. That part is really a scam.

I could either get 2 teeth pulled then 18 month braces but or a retainer for 20 months and then braces so i wanted 2 teeth pulled but noo my dentist wants to give me a freakin retainer for 20 months because he doesnt want to pull any of my teeth . Ughh and then I have to get braces for 6-9 months after . Wtf smh !!

@fluffcaspmok123 i had the same problem, but my denist pulled FOUR of my teeth..two upper and two lower..Its was in Ethiopia, so i have a huge over bite and biiig from teeth , but i dunno why i let him pull the lower two :( my lower teth are small and fine..now i have huge gasps i dunno if it'' ever gonna be filled, and i been wearin my braces for almost a year..well exactly a year but i didnt go for a check up for the first 8months...now is my second month in a row that i went for a check up

some people are missing teeth? my dentist removed 4 teeth from my mouth before i could have braces!! :(

I have the exact same problem my dentist is planning on pulling the others together and filing my canines to look as if they were like normal :)

@Sweetpealuvslife Wellll.....im not exactly sure how much it was to pull my teeth etc, but to me my bite is a bit crooked but my orthodontist hasnt done anything about it yet :P

Im missing those teeth, but instead of doing this, my orthodontist is pulling all my teeth together, and is shaping my canines to look like laterals. (no one even notices it either! :) )

I'm missing these exact teeth too. I've suffered 9 years with 3 big gaps in my mouth. I've got my first orthodontist appt tomorrow.

@thielenm They're going great! thank you for asking. I have springs and rubberbands at the moment (just as above in the video) although instead of removing the braces when gaps are made, i am going to be getting false teeth inserted into the gaps, with a bracket on them. I should be getting my fake teeth around december 7th which is my next appt. Its a very long and painful process but im pretty excited for the outcome. :)

im in this situation also. the difference is that my spring is attached to my premolar and molar in order to move my premolar.. it hurts though.

i had the same situation and im so happy the space is totally closed now...it took me 2 months to close the space....^__^ and i never felt pain when my tooth is moved

That is exactly where I am missing a teeth at. Im guessing thats what they are going to have to do when I get my braces off tomorrow
