There was a band from NY named The Jimmie Carter Show that came out with this

version back in the late 70's. They also took shots at Outer Limits and the Twilight

Zone..blew my mind when I first listened to it

Bob Denver actually wrote Stairway to heaven. (true story) He was high with Jimmy Page and Dawn Wells in Seattle. Dawn showed Jimmy the chord progression and Bob sang it kind of out of key Jimmy said in an interview in 1979.
