  • I forgot this existed! Thanks for posting! I had this recording in the 80's Thanks again!

  • robert plant said this was his favorite remake of Stairway

  • great. lol

  • can you post the KINKS SIDES from l976 by little roger and the goosebumps?

contains the kinks cover of SO TIRED of waiting for you....all day and all night and victoria..............awesome covers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There was a band from NY named The Jimmie Carter Show that came out with this

version back in the late 70's. They also took shots at Outer Limits and the Twilight

Zone..blew my mind when I first listened to it

  • They couldn't do G.I. today. GPS ruins everything....

  • Radical!

  • The fact is you can be busted for driving under the influence of pot, just as easy as alcohol. Under the influence means impaired. Course, when you get busted for alcohol its most likely because you were driving 100 mph. For pot its because you stopped on the freeway for a nap.

  • Clever piece of music, this. The sourpusses who sued need to lighten up, for crying on an island.

  • I don't think it was Led Zepellin who sued to pull this song; I heard it was Atlantic Records, who owned the American distribution rights to all LZ music that had it pulled. What a shame. A truly wonderful cover and a brilliant parody.

  • ARGARK! FRABERJACKALTWOFLY! ANCHLADAKE! ADYUPS-GITALONG!

  • anyone notice how it sounds very dramatic, unlike the original giligan islands theme?

  • You might want to credit Little Roger and the Goosebumps for the song ("Stairway to Gilligan's Island").

  • I just heard this on Subrosa.

  • Love it!

  • who is roger plant..stupid fuk

  • @rwj99 He's the reason this song actually exists in the first place...dude..don't bash him.

  • Comment removed

  • Bob Denver actually wrote Stairway to heaven. (true story) He was high with Jimmy Page and Dawn Wells in Seattle. Dawn showed Jimmy the chord progression and Bob sang it kind of out of key Jimmy said in an interview in 1979.

  • @TankBanana

your full of shit roger plant wrote 90% of the song on the spot in front of a fire with people around him. originally played on piano he then converted it to guitar

  • i heard robert plant in a radio interview a few years ago say this is his favorite led zeppelin cover.

  • Hahahahahahahhaha!!!!!!!

  • Mind = blown.

    Lyrics fit perfectly too lol.

  • Should look up

    The Flintstone Theme lyrics

    sung to the music of

Born to Run by Bruce Springstone.

  • I just looked this up after reading in a book than Led Zeppelin sued the guy who released this song on a record back in the day.

  • See the US Supreme Court case of Acuff v. 2 Live Crew - parody is at the core of the first amendment and is protected (they sang "Oh Big Hairy Woman" to the tune of "Oh Pretty Woman).

  • No Led Zepplien's management (Peter Grant) did after was getting regional airplay on the West Coast.

Was once reported that Robert Plant was trying to obtain a copy.

  • dam hippies.

  • That rock band - is that "The Mosquitoes"? I've had dreams of "Gilligan's Island" over the years. I've been at the port-harbour which "The Minnow" departed from; overhearing Ginger say to Mr. Howell Mary-ann,and the Professor that "we're going to milk this for all that this is worth" [the full financial value] ,whilst an operator of a boat similar to the Minnow can be seen by me trying to negotiate the breaking waves in torrid waters, meters from me and the Gilligan cast. Lovely, sweet dreams!

  • The band was "Little Roger and the Goosebumps" aka Dick Bright.

  • @2711913 Backed by their label mates Earth Quake

  • Heard this song before. BTW calm down on the caps.

  • I heard this on the radio one time many many many years ago & then never again. I want to say it very early 80's when I did. Cool parody!

Ginger was sensuous but Mary Ann was reachable. Good Lord how HOT was Mary Ann!! She & Ginger both looked good dancing.

  • a cool version of the theme song. Too bad Led Zeppelin didn't have a sense of humor and sued to get the song off the airwaves. I think Jack Black might of got his singing style from this song?

  • hey dude they just played it last night in chicago

  • Vintage audio parody LOVE IT

Medicore video except Ginger doing the jerk

    thanks so much

  • nice hip movement on ginger when she is singing.....DAMN!!!!!

  • im actually trying to find this episode of gilligans island, anyone know where i can get it?

  • That Brady comment was EL OH HELL material.

  • if you play it backwards it has lyrics to the brady bunch

  • HAHA! FUCK YEAH NICE!

  • Another sacred Icon chewed up and spit out by bored webbies :-)

  • ...uh? This was recorded in 1978 by Little Roger And The Goosebumps. And promptly yanked from shelves due to Led Zepplin's legal department.

  • @rocketcarmike : Does humour really belong in music? I remember this - Page got his knickers in royal twist and sued the band for some stupid amount. Ass.

  • Yeah, how can they do this to Ballad of Gilligan's Isle?!!!?

  • @TomMinderson well before you open your mouth, you may want to know what you're talking about. this was done many years ago, years before you or any of the rest of us even dreamed of a web.

  • There is something fundametally wrong with this

  • Maryann was always hot!... Ginger was a slut! (hot by default)... Mrs Howell, not so much - I'd rather do the Skipper! XD

  • I always though Mrs. Howe was a hottie meself

  • Everyone always thought that Ginger was the hottest one. But she's kinda fat. Mary anne is HOT

  • demonic
