the thing is that when a animal has albinism they do not reproduce because they are seen as not the same as its counter partner so they do not FIND A mate!! are animal raciest ??? now when people have albinism some time they still mate with there counter partner or come in to contact with a counter partner with albinism so in my opinion we humans learn from the animals so on this one i think they know best if we did that there would be no white people FACT !!

@nelliepodx your pupil expands to basically suck in as much light as possible. but it takes a while. so when you first turn out the light but there's light outside so there's some light, at first it seems pitch black. but as your pupils adjust to the darkness and start taking in the light it becomes easier to see things. that's why when you turn a light on in your face after being in the dark for a while it hurts your eyes. your pupil isn't ready for the light and needs time to adjust :)

omg. i have watched your videos before but i have just noticed that, i dont have albinism but have eye conditions very much like what perople with albinism has, i have nystagmus and i look out one eye more than the other, i thought that was just me! thats so interesting you said that! I say semi, because recently I've been using a product called Ocean Potion that's caused them to fade quite a bit. In developed nations we spend so much time in doors, its not toooo much of a concern. Albinos in Africa die around 30 of skin cancer. I'm very blessed.

Hi yeah i do not suffer from your condition, however you mention stabisum which i do suffer from, i get Double vision due to nerve damage in my left eye resulting in my eyes not working together, (Basically) i look out of both eyes but only focus with one in my good eye i have 20/20 but in my bad its like 20/70 or somthing, so what im getting at is i dont have any problem with judging distance/depth perception even in my bad eye, im just confused is all. is yours different?

I have albinism, and when I read it doesn't shake. I think my case isn't as big as yours because my eyes only change from grey-blue to a yellowish-green. My eyes have never changed to purple, and also I dont need a cain to walk with. So its very awesome that I found this video becasue I alwasy like knowing how other albino people go through their day (:
hello your videos are great. am also an albino but I use glasses bifocals without them I can't see anything my vision without them is pretty bad example if you take a digital camera and shake it while taking a picture that blurry image is what it's like without my glasses with them I still need things like magnifiers. on my PC I use windows magnifier and speech to text software 'cause it would take me too long to type. My question is can you use glasses are just choose not to :)
Thanks for explaining the eye colour thing. I always wondered how that worked, and until today I thought people with albinism just had pink eyes plain and simple. I realize that the vision problems must suck, but having eyes that go from pink to purple to blue to grey must be so cool!
It is possible to be albino and not have eye problems. Like can you be born with all the other albinism conditions but not anything wrong with your eyes?
@aero847 Yes. There is a type of albinism that only effects the hair and skin. There is also a type that doesn't take away all pigment and leaves a person's complexion yellowish.
@Razeasha I have Albinism too *high fives* I thought you always had to have eye problems with albinism, just some more than others - and then OC albinism which just effects the eyes.
Words shake for me too. My nystagmus seems to bother me a lot more than some people :(

I too have albinism. I can't imagine having 20/300 acuity though O_O I've had 2 strabismus/nystagmus surgeries and my vision is 20/180 without glasses and 20/80 with glasses. By the way, the way my doctor explained visual acuity to me was whatever someone with perfect vision can see from 80 feet away, I have to be 20 feet away from that same object. Oh, and I love the accessibility features on the Mac :)

Hi yeah i do not suffer from your condition, however you mention stabisum which i do suffer from, i get Double vision due to nerve damage in my left eye resulting in my eyes not working together, (Basically) i look out of both eyes but only focus with one in my good eye i have 20/20 but in my bad its like 20/70 or somthing, so what im getting at is i dont have any problem with judging distance/depth perception even in my bad eye, im just confused is all. is yours different?

I love how your not afraid to tell people about your self. I think its good for people to know what albino people go through. I was always so curiouse. I wanted to ask if there are albino people who can see really good like a person without albinism?

I have albinism, and when I read it doesn't shake. I think my case isn't as big as yours because my eyes only change from grey-blue to a yellowish-green. My eyes have never changed to purple, and also I dont need a cain to walk with. So its very awesome that I found this video becasue I alwasy like knowing how other albino people go through their day (:

hello your videos are great. am also an albino but I use glasses bifocals without them I can't see anything my vision without them is pretty bad example if you take a digital camera and shake it while taking a picture that blurry image is what it's like without my glasses with them I still need things like magnifiers. on my PC I use windows magnifier and speech to text software 'cause it would take me too long to type. My question is can you use glasses are just choose not to :)

Thanks for explaining the eye colour thing. I always wondered how that worked, and until today I thought people with albinism just had pink eyes plain and simple. I realize that the vision problems must suck, but having eyes that go from pink to purple to blue to grey must be so cool!

It is possible to be albino and not have eye problems. Like can you be born with all the other albinism conditions but not anything wrong with your eyes?

@aero847 Yes. There is a type of albinism that only effects the hair and skin. There is also a type that doesn't take away all pigment and leaves a person's complexion yellowish.

@Razeasha I have Albinism too *high fives* I thought you always had to have eye problems with albinism, just some more than others - and then OC albinism which just effects the eyes.
Words shake for me too. My nystagmus seems to bother me a lot more than some people :(
So weird because I have much yellower hair, but crappy eyes. 20/320 and 20/800. I have never tried to read my comp with my monoculour. So gonna try :)

I too have albinism. I can't imagine having 20/300 acuity though O_O I've had 2 strabismus/nystagmus surgeries and my vision is 20/180 without glasses and 20/80 with glasses. By the way, the way my doctor explained visual acuity to me was whatever someone with perfect vision can see from 80 feet away, I have to be 20 feet away from that same object. Oh, and I love the accessibility features on the Mac :)
