Well, looks as though Pete Carroll got the hell out of dodge before the hammer dropped at USC. You will never sell me any bullshit stating that Carroll did not know what was going on with Reggie Bush.
@mrblujet yes but Reggie Bush is a man and knew better. He is not a 7 year old. Reggie is the biggest Jerk. He cost his team their 2004 Championship. He should be black balled on USC Campus
He reminds me a lot of Bill Walsh from a personality stand point. Different coaches, Walsh was offensive and Carroll defensive, but IMO they have very similar philosophys. They even look a like a bit.
As a Trojan season ticket holder and attending most all oftheir games in the last 7 years, I can say that Pete Carroll is going to be a great hire for the Seahawks. He will bring in top notch players that will give 100% every game. To all you naysayers, just give him one year and don't be surprised if the Seahawks win the division next year. The NFC West is by far the weakest in the NFL and the Arizona Cardunals wouldnt even make the playoffs if the division was competitive.
@nancinmofo you make a point however its not much if Carroll manages win the division a game ahead of his division rivals. BTW its not good to make a strong comparison of successful college coaches to the pros as we've seen what guys like Saban, Spurrier, Petrino, Lane Kiffin have brought. His run with the Pats before was also very underwhelming.
Walk a mile in the man's shoes (Pete) before you start passing out your judgement. He doesn't play a single down...the players have to execute as they are very well paid to do in order for it to all come together. He absolutely deserves a chance to succeed. Anybody have the money to get your own choice for haed-coach???
Is gonna take me some time to like this guy, but I didn't like Holmgren either until he left and we sucked like used to back in the AFC west.
Does this mean that the Seahawks are ranked now lol. I hope he turns things around, I'm tired of going to every game with low expectations. Go Seachickens!
This is another case of coaches on the outside looking in at the "bright lights" NFL has to offer, he shouldve stayed with SC he couldve becoma God like Bowden for FSU or Paterno but no, egos get in the way and start believeing you can do anything

does the Oberto logo need to be so large?
Pete, it will take 3 years to make the playoffs.
I do not care who the Seahawks coach is or how much he is paid; I just want the Seahawks to win the Superbowl

Seahawks organization have made plenty of huge mistakes in the recent past. This move beats all of those mistakes.
I sincerely hope I will be proven wrong. Go Hawks.

Love Pete...Can't wait though in 3-4 years when he's trying to find another job in College Football, not to mention what team it will be for.
