First wrong assumption by the narrator: these far flung countries are intrinsically corrupt. In almost every case I've studied over the years the political instability is caused by outside forces trying get at the resources. Can you say Iran in 1953? or Azerbaijan in 1992? How about Nigeria? Or now in the Amazon? These outside forces have become more powerful and more consolidated and are a real threat to democracies around the world including Europe and North America.

Azerbaijan has oil, but most of it is owned by western companies. Why is that? Many arabic countries own their own oil almost 100%, why is that? there's nothing to be proud of while this is happening. Only little of it is in Azerbaijani companies hands. If a man is proud of Azeri oil production it's okay but he's missing some parts of it. Muhahaha! Sorry but it's true :-)

@odinandme it's a scam. The internal combustion engine has NO WAY of running on water... What's possible as a clean energy alternative is the electric car. Far too much interests have let the oil companies get away with their net profits from their "drill, baby, drill" philosophy. The technology exists, greed and corruption by policymakers and powerfull lobbyists have let this progress remain stratled in limbo.

Darn the Soviets really left a giant mess.

While the same oil from there saved the Soviets against the 3th Reich.

One would allmost wonder if the country would have looked better if it had came under the rule of the 3th Reich instead of the Soviets.
