This video is too quiet. I can bearly hear it through my crappy little laptop speakers. Aronica is one of the least exciting tenors I've seen perform this duet. He does seem to have a professional quality about him, just a very boring one. sorry buddy!
I saw Aronica today at Covent Garden in Un Ballo in Maschera, he was understudy to Vargas. What a shame! He was so bad (he missed no fewer than 4 notes in the first act!) I left in the interval. To say he is better than Florez is laughable! (Villazon I may give you!)
Aronica is the standard Italian tenor who sings with an easy technique claer pronunciation and beautiful voice where is he hiding. he sings better than Vilazon and florez and his voice always flows ,is never pushed ,looks good on stage and if i wouldneed anything more from him, it would be a little more passion. but his natural reserve is very distinguished
@luigicorvi24 I'm not sure about what you meant, but that's not a "standard" for italian tenors...if in this exibitiion he was in a good shape...well, then he really is nothing special. I know at least two or three italian students (not singers, just students) who sung it much much better...and didn't miss so many notes..
