  • DRT 2 OIL

    ALBERTA ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It makes me sick that its in my home and we don't hear About it. Albertans have a vail over there eyes about it blinded by the money. The only hope is to get people to stop driving and living more locally and simply!

  • Native people Betrayed. Modern day slaves. Thinkin that the reserves will be saved, till they start deporting people off the property, ethnically cleanse the indians economically

  • I hears the CEO of the oil company apologize in the last couple of days for downplaying the loss of wildlife. He admitted that the dead geese and ducks amounted to 258 thousand lost. I believe. That's a far cry from eight thousand. Now as for the people who live there, I feel outraged that their health is not being considered as more important than anything else. Look at what's happened to the native people on the reserve near Sarnia. We can't allow that to be repeated.

  • please it is easy to complain but none of you will be willing to move to the country and get rid of many of the excess that you so depend on. the main people that complain about environmental degradtion live in cities and you are the reason it happens.there wouldn't be this or any other environmental problems if you learned to live like the rest of the world

  • yeah, but what they fail to show...is that there really isn't any wildlife or forests that actually live where the tarsands are. The soil is uninhabital. These companies are just processing the soil and extracting the oil from it. Besides...it's just Canada...who cares. JK

  • violetember ... what makes you an authority on that region? Uninhabital?? My, you're well educated! ... and "just Canada ... who cares"? You're an ass! It matters to everyone regardless of where it's taking place. Don't be so damn insular.

  • Well, you didn't actually refute anything I said. But I did say JK after the Canada joke, because I'm not really anti-Canada. SO why don't you disprove me and show eveidence of Forests and such, living on the Tar Sands. Go for it. There isn't any! That's the point..there is oil layden sandy loam covering the whole region. Just do a little more research before swalling these folks story. I do think it is a waste to collect oil in that region though..but not for the reasons that were presented.

  • Northern Alberta has dense boreal forests and is very rich in wild life.

  • Your'e right. I was wrong. Good luck in your endeavors. I was thinking of a documentary done on a differnt harvesting site. My appologies. ps...the world is gonna end soon anyway, thanks to Nuclear weapons and crazy muslim zealots.

  • @violetember are you fucked? you can't be real.....or are you new?

  • @tinram745 Is that supposed to be an intelligible response or argument? I'm so glad there are people like you making strong arguments. Good job.

  • @violetember : it was your initial comment that started this back lash against you. how could you be so blind?

  • @tinram745 Blind to what? You are the one who is blind to the sarcastic remarks and what they imply. Stick to the cursing & slandering...it's sooo logical and effective at helping people understand your position.

  • @violetember : you're the one who started this shit with your stupid and uneducated comment. " there really isn't any wildlife or forests that actually live where the tarsands are."

  • Scaaaaary ! !!

  • you aint getting my oil

  • If you want oil, look no further than the faces of the adolescence of America!

  • Great video!

  • i now many people that work for oil companies. the way they drill here is totally different then what you see on this video. im not sure if it cause of the extreme cold or what but its not like that here in Texas.

  • zakattak80- I don't think they're drilling, it's more like strip mining. They dig up the soil and extract the oil.

  • the oil you get in texas doesn't require half as much refining as that crap (bitimin)they dig up in canada. The only way they can get it out of the ground is to tear up the soil. It's a completely different process. Like the dude said, they have to burn up 1 barrel of oil (or the equivalent) for every 2 barrels they refine

  • THAT'S WHY I DRIVE AN ELECTRIC CAR!

  • where does your electricity come from?

  • Greedy Canadian Politicians are allowing this Ongoing Evironmental Disaster.

  • I think we should use efficent extraction methods immediately (such as Vapour extraction)... And come up with an alternate energy, this is not going to help the world at all.

I made a video about the planet, It's called "One World..." Check it out and tell me what you think... just trying to make a difference...

  • If conditions are so bad that you have reason to believe people are dieing because of this pollution, oh hmmmm.....I don't know...move? Live some where safe. =p

  • I know this sounds like a reasonable option, but these are aboriginal communities that live in a tight familial culture. Moving would be to leave behind your brothers and sisters, and the land is a part of you.

  • jammingbrad- maybe they could all stay with you.

  • Well, I don't think they would be willing to move all the way to Virginia....If they are willing to travel all the way to here, they could stay a few days...

  • Jammingbrad-I would agree that they should move for their own safety. Being run out of their ancestral homes seems unfair nonetheless. Perhaps, you are not as uncaring as I had thought, however. In any case Canada needs to open their eyes to this. I know they are seeing the money come in, but all will suffer in the end.

  • what an absolutely gross crime against nature. The exploiter's will get what they deserve eventually, karma has a way of catching up with ya.

  • why is Washington DC called British Columbia?

  • Washington DC is District of Columbia...British Columbia is above Washington State, in Canada

  • wow do Americans really know this little about there neigbouring countrys?

British Columbia is above the state of Washington, and alberta is north East.

  • I would hope this comment isn't directed towards me, I'm Canadian...

  • There are stupid people in Canada too.

  • keep up the good work

  • If Bruce Willis didn't blow up that asteroid, we wouldn't have to worry about this!!
