I usually hate FPSs... but then there are a few that actually have some originality. FEAR has the horror element, and actually does it right. Fallout 3 has RPG elements mixed in and has a ton of freedom and interaction. And... that's all I can think of. Dead Island is in first-person, but doesn't really focus on firearm-combat. Oh well, it's a zombie-centered game with originality, that is that it's NOT an FPS.
