  • awesome I wanna try, maybe I can pick up some tanks or choppers from the Nat. Guard post not to far from my house

  • what happens if you take it on a plane, are you allowed?

  • I also hear the callsign "Hammer One"?

  • I think it might be Gamble 1, becuase I hear that a lot when A-10's are out.

  • Best frequency's is 50-54mhz and 144-148mhz and 440mhz. Haha those are ham frequency's anyway I want to know how do you like this scanner?

  • This scanner is ok, but the only problem is its not handheld or digital so i cant take it everywhere.

  • Wow! Sounds like a great scanner. Are you monitoring this transmission on this frequency in

digital mode or conventional mode? Thanks!

  • there is no digital on that type of scanner.

  • Your right not digital. Im saving up to buy one, cost 500bucks!

  • hey guys im getting a Bearcat UBC785 XLT scanner is it any good i need ur opinion please

  • 8081rt: Very interesting catch and nice RIG. Congrat's! Did you receive any kind of MILCOMM activity from 30 to 50 MHz? Regards.

  • No i dont really listen to freqs on 30-50MHz, the frequencies that the base uses for it arent really that interesting, I usually listen to 118-400MHz which are the tower, base ops, planes etc.

  • Thanks! Here in Poland is similarly. On the whole weak activity in this band. Sometimes, during well propagation, I'm watching stations from Russia and Belarus - railways, taxis, military. Nothing special. I'm generally SW-listener. 73!

  • sounds very much like a AWACS mission,

I have picked these QSOs up many times here in the UK ( north yorkshire,

its pretty cool listening to it all

    BTW where are you ?

  • Recorded in North Las Vegas Nv near Nellis AFB

  • shortbusdriver1969: No, definitely not a AWACS mission. Improper callsigns and procedures. It can be A-10 or something like this, on low level flight.

  • Audio is a lot nicer than the newer Unidens, the BCT-15 / 780XLT / 996 etc.

  • What kind of antenna do you have on this rig...i was thinking of buying a Uniden BC898T for MilAir scanning...does this setup work well for you?

  • Im using the antenna that comes with it. This works exellent for military air and ground, but i suggest getting something handheld so you can take it to airshows. This is good if youre in your car most of the time when your watchin planes from your car.

  • Alright cool...thanks for your help

  • this is sweet. how much does a scanner like that run for?

  • I got this one for about $200

  • ok we call it the 9000xlt over in Europe / UK

  • The 9000xlt has great audio - thanks for sharing

  • This isnt the 9000xlt its the BC898T, very similar design
