No i dont really listen to freqs on 30-50MHz, the frequencies that the base uses for it arent really that interesting, I usually listen to 118-400MHz which are the tower, base ops, planes etc.
Thanks! Here in Poland is similarly. On the whole weak activity in this band. Sometimes, during well propagation, I'm watching stations from Russia and Belarus - railways, taxis, military. Nothing special. I'm generally SW-listener. 73!
shortbusdriver1969: No, definitely not a AWACS mission. Improper callsigns and procedures. It can be A-10 or something like this, on low level flight.
Im using the antenna that comes with it. This works exellent for military air and ground, but i suggest getting something handheld so you can take it to airshows. This is good if youre in your car most of the time when your watchin planes from your car.
awesome I wanna try, maybe I can pick up some tanks or choppers from the Nat. Guard post not to far from my house

This scanner is ok, but the only problem is its not handheld or digital so i cant take it everywhere.

Wow! Sounds like a great scanner. Are you monitoring this transmission on this frequency in
digital mode or conventional mode? Thanks!

Audio is a lot nicer than the newer Unidens, the BCT-15 / 780XLT / 996 etc.

What kind of antenna do you have on this rig...i was thinking of buying a Uniden BC898T for MilAir scanning...does this setup work well for you?
