Slanting your eyes can only be understood as an insult by those that think its a bad feature. If the Chinese basketball team posed for a photo with their hair dyed blond before going to a championship held in Sweden, no one would say a word. But now the racist make a big deal because THEY THINK DESPICABLY ABOUT THE CHINESE RACE or are influenced by that idiosyncrasy (like some USA and UK Orientals that have been raised in that racist environment).

That gesture could only be considered bad if it was done with bad intention, wich is not the case (as the Chinese authorities have clearly said. They have been the first to laugh about all the hypocrites in UK and US making a big deal of nothing). There is nothing bad about being Chinese and there was no bad intention, so there is no such case.
