  • Damn son. I thought kyokushin was solid.

  • eh khan bahn guan lu

  • steve was a runaway iggy pop the kashmere train

  • from what I see, Midori, Matsui fought as well.

  • well! finally a guy who knows at least how to stand up in the taikiken way. I would like to see a video of this man in a couple of years, I hope he will do a lot better. Good luck!

  • The 1st man in the 1st part is Matsui, that´s for shure,

and these taikiken guys seem to be quite good fighters. Osu

  • Here's my opinion.

Kyokushin Karate is strong. But since the kumite & tournament rule not allow punch to the head and takedowns, the Kyokushin practitioners is not used to avoid rapid punch to their head, and also it's hard for them finding the right timing to punch their opponents head. It goes the same for takedowns. Well except if they have trained to cover this lack of skill, for example Andy Hug. *Peace*

  • respect

  • Taikiken isnt too bad. The guy isnt as experience as the kyokushin guy is. He just has to train in sparring more.

  • ROFL looks like the guy is trying to hypnotize the karate dude

  • This is the first time I've seen Hsing-i or Taikiken (and first time I've heard of this system) in action, and am impressed with the deceptive effectiveness. It reminds me of my Filipino uncles (manongs) in the labor camp showing me their open hand styles of fighting from their arnis, eskrima and kaili training. I may not be a Taikiken follower, but I wouldn't mine learning some of its techniques to compliment my vast arsenal.

  • Looks like a bunch of hand flailing to me.

  • Tere is something you dont get you guys.I don t know if you had fought for real but the taikiken guy (Shimada sensei) is fighting shokei matsui.

If the latter one was relly beyond him he would have crushed him which is not the case

Under ules there is always a champion of each style but in real fight it is another problem

  • where in this video do u see shokei matsui? the kyokushin fighter is not shokei matsui

  • @Muay711 the first dude looks like him in video 1

  • @Muay711

taikiken vs kyokushin video 1 there is the 1st guy fighting matsui, not in video 3

  • Thats not Matsui, this guy fights nothing like Matsui. Matsui also was a very good Judo-Ka, this guy tried to throw and couldn't quite do it. The problem with alot of Kyokushin guys is they find it very hard to throw a punch to the face cause they spend so much time training for knockdown!

  • @CELTICWARRIOR247

the 1st guy in video 1 was definitely matsui, i recognise his face clearly as well as his kiai.

the guy with the sweater underneath the dogi is midori who clearly gets his nose beaten up . the other guys i dont know

  • @FaridYM

yeh the 1st guy in the 1st video is, i never said he wasnt, the guy in this clip is not matsui. And you can clearly see that Matsui is the better fighter between him and his opponent

  • if you had done even once a taikiken training you would have known...as people who don t have a clue of what they re talking about they say anything

for your information: kenichi sawai, the first taikiken sensei in japan was the sempai and the friend of masutatsu Oyama and adviced him to intgrate some elements of taikiken in kyokushin, what he did

Having the hands in the front is a part of the style

    THIS is a REAL fight

  • other fighters would defeat the taikiken guys? muay thai would pwn all of them?

    shotokan blocks and sweeps?

fighting spirit and respect is more important then any "i could pwn all of u" bullshit. shotokan is mostly non-contact and uses rules. muay thai uses gloves and rules..take other fighters, add some shotokan butter and muay thai sauce...take away gloves and rules..and it will exactly look the same. u guys know nothing about fighting. keep on watching videos or proove better. OSU!

  • that taikiken guy's have no respect for the other fighter or what ........he just want to do a show .......seriously how can you addempt this level in a martial art with that kind of respect that's make twelve years then i do kyokushin and that kind of attitude is just disgusting by the way i totaly agree with Muay711 more often then anything else after a fight i go see my other opponent and just start talking with him about our dojo or anything else don't understant why this guy act like that

  • yep, this is pretty pathetic. this proves it, unless matsui's fight under kyokushon knockdown rules, he suck beyond belief. I've seen shotokan guys fight better this! at least they know how to block and sweep and throw better. hell muay thai guy would've got both in a clinch and bet the hell out of either of them.

  • lol put kenji midori there instead of that mexican mustache guy, you'll see that once again it's only about the fighter. and stop being so gay with your muay thai shit, it's a great martial art but as everything it's not perfect you can see lot's of video of kyokushin agaisnt muay thai and kyokushin wins

  • Im doing taikiken since 8 months and i dont see no techniques in his mouvements.. i doubt he is truly a black belt well, its obvious he isnt..

  • that taikiken fighter has no manner at all ,, he was trying to injur the oppenent .

  • that taikiken fighter has no manner at all ,, he was trying to injur the oppenent .

  • This whole series was very shoddy. Why were these people fighting? The use of hands and defensive abilities were really disappointing. Not much better than the crappy 'streetfight' clips I've seen. What were the rules to this fiasco? Double thumbs down!

  • I agree amigo!

Andy Hug or Filho will defeat these Taikiken people in seconds!

  • yes , filho is absolutely better than and , and matsui is the best, any one of these three would defeat any taikiken fighter

  • Never mind.. I was calling it Taiken from another clip.. ok so TAIKIKEN, is just a japanese man's interpretation of chinese Bua Gua, tai chi and kung fu? lol.. it looked really chinese so I was thrown off by the name.

  • I never heard of taiken, would someone be as so kind to give me a bit of back ground on it. Like it's characteristics and origins. Much thanks!~

  • This shit is so fucking sloppy! And please don't try to make excuses for this sloppy shit cuz I know someone will try! These are the same assholes that make fun Wing Chun, calling its bitch fighting! LOL! I love the way the ref breaks up the action anytime a good punch gets landed! LOL! Both styles are fucked up! Put a good boxer in the ring and he'll fuck up both dojos by himself! LOL!

  • I'm with U sensei, but I've to notice that it's not correct the way U tell that. Pratictioneers martial arts with no contact (not judo or BJJ to understand....)aren't able to use their skills against a real kick boxer for example, but the problem is the pratictioneer him self and not the style.I practiced both boxe and wing chun, and, believe me,it depends by the student.

  • ...and the more elevated is the style, the less they'r able to use that (ex.tai chi or pa kua).these styles have a lotta of very good tecniques, but without pratictioneers that wanna practice in a ring like boxe or Muay thai.Every style with full contact fighters is respected, others are bullshit, this is the 2000 philosophy. But this analyse is correct at 50% and works also for muay thai, boxe,BJJ and others respected schools.I'd like to knoe your feelings about my thinkings.best regards.

  • I don't have any feelings about it just an opinion! I would hope that my opinion is unbiased in that it does not favor any style. Rather one should seek to be a complete martial artist. This requires the practitioner to be skilled in the 4 ranges of combat. Although some will say that only 3 combat ranges exist while others will claim that there are more than 4!

  • You see it's about strategy! It's not about style. If an opponent is a better kicker then you need to get inside were his kick are less effective. If the opponent is a better puncher/boxer then you need to enter even closer in order to trap or tie up his hands. Finally, you have the option of fighting on the ground.

  • man first you need to know to say this to the Gracie ''BJJ can fight'' are you crazy!!! but it"s true itdepend on the individual not the style moron

  • Kyokushin fighters here have not adapted to the new rules here. They are fighting out of their comfort zone, which should be respected. Punching the head is allowed here but not in their usual tourneys.

  • Comfort zone! According to the documentaries that Kyokushin puts out, they are superior to other styles! Why the fuck would they need a comfort zone then?! Clowns in white pajamas!

  • "this is more of a challenge than a real fight" so one guy could put the other guy on their ass if they wanted, but wen they really try they can't...makes perfect sense, dumbass...i didnt realise this was meant 2 b a point scoring, olympic rules pussy fight.

  • Taikiken is the Japanese version of Wang's DaCheng Chuan. Master Kenichi Sawai learned this from WAng after their legendary duel. Kenichi was a master of Judo previously.

  • mymyharlow> the fingers dont "need" to be "open" in Taikiken, its just a matter of being relaxed. This state of relaxation is one of the Taikiken's basics (practicing Ritsuzen,Hai,Neri,Yuri helps alot)

For those who know about Kyokushinkai, the actual leader, "kancho shokei matsui" is now studying Taikiken from "shimada sensei".

    And yes, shimada owns him.

  • excuse me, "for those who knows kyokushin", tirshea is a big fat or a tiny fat lier. stop telling lies. proove urself in an open tournament. kk tournaments r open 4 all. step up if u have the balls.

  • Open 4 all, but with whose rules! You have to fight kyokushin's style to compete in their tournaments. That always favors Kyokushin! No face punches allowed! So a kyokushin guy just walks right up to you and you are forced to punch to his chest to get him away! But wait there are no weight classes either! So why the fuck would he back up?! KK tournaments are rigged!

  • thank you for this post I've never seen this befor!! OSU!!

  • Post better fights of yourself, this is more of a challenge than a real fight. Go watch MMA if you want to see people get their faces bashed in for money.

  • lol u called that a fight?

  • Yeah but one of them is Matsui!!

  • The fight seems between to persons who are stupid enough to challenge each other without settling the ground rules . The person who is Kyokushin is representing him self by his own skills not Kyokushinkai Karate by general . Its the same output if the other guy had met a judo person or a taekwondo person .

  • Hard to blieve that guy's a Kyokushin Karate black belt

  • looks like the taikiken had the advantage. ALtho, i wonder wat woulda happen if they dint get split up.

  • taikiken is from yiquan.
