I was cooking a bacon egg and beans, and this song came into my head, and started singing it. word for word, (funny thing the brain & what it stores at the back) so jumped on here! Me too, gold mine (Chris hill) Lacey lady (Chris hill) and I'm one of the old ones What about.. Pink elephant in south gate north london/enfiled town (Greg Edwards) Saturday night, Soul spectrum (6-10 PM on the capital radio)The good old day's ! Just remember .All the best times have been had, never to return! :_(
Oh my God!! The last time I heard this was 30 years ago at the Gold Mine in Canvey Island. In Australia now. My children are 21 and 23...so wished they could understand the impact of this stuff on us. Such joy. Thanks @discusyan. Nice one : )
one of my favorites at 'The Garage' just to get the night going or cool down at 7 in the morning yea she was also Michele "can you feel it" "magic love"
Get Another Love" is defo the song you have to hear by her..maybe the best disco song by a french artist .....ultra sexy voice and a very bewitching harmonica.....just read somewhere that she was murdered by his boyfriend...very glaucous....if someone have more informations about her I am deeply interested....thanks for posting this pal.....greetings from the froggies land....Mr.KareemBlack
First heard this & never anywhere else @ Guines Court - Tolleshunt D'arcy - dj at the time was Gary Soul - all nighters @ the embassy suite Colshester - & ofcourse the Goldmine Pete Tong - Jeff Young lol warm up dj's for Chris Hill -Goood Tiiimes
great track! is there anyone here who can help me in indentifying a music? it's from the movie 'Where the buffalo roam' (1980). It's played under the scene where HST dances with a nurse. if anybody knows anything bout this. pls help me!
Brings me back to the 100 club. Oxford street, london. Saturday afternoons. It put everyone in the mood for the nights partying and clubbing. Ice cold and awesome.
hi there. great track, great vocals and a excellent bass line. ive got the kathy brown version on defected label. everytime i play this out i get a good reception. great tune !
Elementary my dear Watson. Those were the days to be in New york. Disco!!!!!! Need I say more ? I was a teenage DJ , playing clubs and hanging out. That was THE era to be alive in. So many memories...............
Big daddy you are so correct on your comment, this classic tune was a huge hit in the n.y.c. back in the day & if your in a club & this is played they still go nuts... so soulful, romantic yet uplifting... They dont make them like this anymore. PEACE
i was pleasantly surprised to find this on youtube! i remember hearing it for the first time at a disco in 1979 - i thought it sounded like Donna Summer. The boyfriend i was with said he had the record and lent it to me. It's brought back memories listening to this! Thanks for the posting!
