u can also go out into the niben bay and on the A there is a trapdoor that leads into that room he killed the fish in and when u swim up that hole the slaughter fish is up there (i cheated :p i used water walking so it wouldnt hit me after i lured it to top of cave and i casted spells at it)

Dude I think my OOO tweaked out on me or something because I found one of these in the flooded mine where you go for one of the later Dark Brotherhood assassinations. Lucky for me it was stuck in a wall, pretty sure it wasn't supposed to be there and a mod messed up. I'm only level 4, lol.

You could do all of this. OR you can just go into the castle of bravil, go into fathis aren's room, walk straight to the other side from the door, open the pillars that are on either side of the indent in the wall, go into the grotto from there, go straight open the iron gate and keep going till you hit the water pit. Much easier.

You get to find this mammoth when you're on the Theives Guild mission "The Arrow of Extraction". I found this out when I was doing that quest.
