@cinemastah Actually it is, It's not the one from his Futurist Cd, it's a direct verison from a promotional Ally McBeal CD that I have (and that's signed by him as well)
i luv modern times! such a funny movie! who's singing this version of smile ? i love connie talbots version. it's so innocent and cute. Nat King Coles is great too.
I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out my clip of silent movie star tobacco cards. They include: Charlie Chaplin, Rudolph Valentino, Mary Pickford, Lillian Gish, Tom Mix, Jackie Coogan, Harold Lloyd and many more.
Great vid & music. One of the poster; in the beginning, I think said Patchogue, NY. I live 15 miles down the road from that theater that they saved, if that is the one. I even went to a Christmas show there last year.
You sure asked the right person...I think I'm obsessed think he used Charlie because it was a nickname when he was younger (he was Charles Chaplin Jr.), because his later works were all under Charles. Another intresting fact...Upon receiving his Academy Award in 1972 he received the longest standing ovation in Academy Award history, lasting a full five mins. In 1974 knighted by Queen Elizabeth II, and became Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin.
Oh one mor thing....Charlie composed the music for all of his movies. He composed the music to the song "Smile" (as featured in this vid) for those who didn't know it :) He wrote it for his movie "Modern Times" (one of my favorites)
i Love this person he is great man i miss

It was Chaplin in "The Great Dictator" and he wasn't playing Hitler either. He was playing a fictional Dictator Adenoid Hynkel.

what a wonderful tribute! I really enjoyed it. I noticed a few posters were "Charles Chaplin" instead of Charlie - was that his earlier carreer?
