The reason they believe it now and say it's a biblical thing is the prophesy in Isaiah that the Jews would be enslaved and exiled in Babylon for 70 years, so they try to say "who do you believe Science or the Bible?" However the bible doesn't correlate Israel being desolate and slavery, but that's interpretation unfortunately. I'm going to ask a practicing Jew about this shortly.
Sound in mind sure of self internal indirect information = miss the point. But that said and done , your message is very clear and personal in the hope to save the few. Action to question is Jesus God ! Dark horse your not giving me anything and why would you.
I was never told that, if its true it must be more recent or an aberration, or perhaps some would claim my experience is an aberration. But i was always told what i read was a matter of conscience. i even brought critical books to discussions i requested with elders, and even a circuit overseer. It would take some length to explain my personal story, but as to the specific area you are mentioning, that is what my experience was. Iwas never warned or threatened with any form of disciplinry action
You were also never told that you MUST be loyal to the Watchtower Babble and Crap Society. You were never directly told what any of the un-written rules are.
Read Combatting Cult Mind Control by Steve Hassan. Nothing about it is about saying stuff directly.
I'm sure everyone's experience is different. Take it on faith (smile) that many many JW's have been.
Actually the first part is wrong, about the loyalty. Ya Im familiar with mind control material, altho no Hassan specifically, You should hav an impression of me from prev comments ive made. I never denied ppl hav been damaged. I had responsibilities within the congregation. I even had them increased in the period following my questionings.
Funny things is all the un-written crap i caught was from overseers who resented i was more spiritual than than their kids were n it made them look bad LOL.
My skeptism goes both ways, or all ways if you like. As I refuse to take any religion's claims on faith (WTS included of course), also take critics and ex-members claims (as to their subjective experiences, without being dismissive) with a grain of salt.
The explanation is basically that the matrix thing actually happens. The "agents" for the machine aren't actually involved when they act on behalf of the machine. Its completely possible that there is not even a single human being who is consciously choosing to make the WTBTS the way it is. Hard to get one's head about that, but this isn't the only place it happens.
Yes. That occurs in wild dog packs too. And as for the WT naysayers, some have been wronged, some are victims of misunderstanding, some were caught with their hand in the cookie jar and now make up a tale, and some never even met a JW and are frauds.
i wonder if they will disfellowship everyone who i hand a paper to.

--- To do otherwise would be just like exchanging one blind faith for another, or for numerous others.

The WTBTS stated in court that if you don't believe even their false teachings you are worthy of death.
