For those of you not familiar with Kenny G, search YouTube for "Pat Metheny on Kenny G". A Google search for the same phrase will get you a much more detailed answer he gave on the JazzOasis website. "Kenny G Sucks" gets quite a few hits, also.
I saw them at Casino Rama, in Orillia, Ontario, Canada and it was a fantastic show. I didn't want it to end! My husband's the one into bluegrass so I just went along for the ride not expecting to really enjoy it but boy I was clapping my hands and stomping my feet by the end of it! Great job, great players! Would love to see them again.
I watched this whole thing waiting for Rick James and a posse of other black guys to run up there and beat the crap out of them but it never happened :(
on the CMT Crossroads concert, John Anderson came out toward the end and started singing ... at one point he even alluded to his hit ("Swingin'") by singing, "That freak was a-swinging" ... bout near peed my pants!
Wow, "Superfreak" in full on folk style! With lots of banjo and fiddle even! What an unusual song choice! It seems like it becomes it's own song without much to do with the original melody/lyrics. That's pretty cool, actually.
*eep!*

@jazzlover2020 I realize that...it's a bit played out, though.

@jazzlover2020 So it's not up to your standards. Go listen to jazz.
I thought it was hilarious. I've always liked the original version, too.
