  • 0:39 are those the criteria? who would say no to those things? i hope all the surveys weren't like that. what about what type of photography do you shoot most often? what focal lengths do you desire the most? is low light performance important to you? is size more important than aperture? etc.

  • Well I can't understand Korean, be reasonable.

  • Fucking dubbing!

  • i-Fn on the lens is a good ideal; u can change aperture (& other settings) via a ring on the lens like on manual lenses.

Though you can use the controls on the back of the camera to change settings while looking through the viewfinder, it is kind of awkward; it's more natural to do it on the lens with the left hand.

It also makes a lot of sense for mirrorless cameras since their EVF will show in real time the effects of ISO, WB, etc., which is not possible on any DSLR via OVF.

  • Not to act like too much of a fanboy, but these guys really seem to have their fingers on the pulse of what I'm looking for...small, lightweight, and for general purpose photography...ie...something better than a compact camera and not as big as a dSLR. Keep working at it, Samsung! I really like your TL350.

  • lenses are good, sensors are inferior. They should improve sensors.

  • @cdiddca Compared to m4/3s their sensor is quite ok, compared to APS-C then you are right. Though new Sony 16 mpix APS-C sensor is really hard to beat.. (D7000, K-5, A55, A580, NEX-5).

  • @Mescalamba "Compared to m4/3s their sensor is quite ok," Why one would compare NX cameras with 4/3s and not APS-C when NX is APS-C itself?

  • @cdiddca Probably cause they are closer to Panasonic G system, than to SONY NEX. dSLR like body, decent EVF, similar controls. NEX and NX are for different customers. Plus comparing NX to lets say D90 would be very unfavorable towards NX.. Though Im bit puzzled why sensor isnt good as it should, cause one in K20D was probably same and great..

  • Yep, this video shows nicely why Samsung NX wont be sucessful in future and why it will eventually end. Its actually sad, cause system itself isnt bad.

But Samsung is missing so much key points, thats nearly unbelieavable.. They must live in different world than most photographers. Maybe one day they will realize, then cameras are not fridge and you definetly cant sell it same way.

  • @Mescalamba, so you think designing a camera/lens with people's needs in mind is ... bad? Out of all mirrorless, NX line IMO to date is the most promising one. And that's me, a m43 fanboi, sayin' it.

  • @Dummy00001 Not really, but i-Function is just pretty much useless gimmick. Lens are good, sensor is so-so, but acceptable. Handling is fine, SW too.

My point is somewhere else, having "just" good system isnt enough. Samsung marketing is somewhere near absolute zero. I know only one pro, that actually used NX camera. Samsung dSLR history consists of two copied Pentax cameras. They have some reputation in compact cameras, but even there not much.. They need to be known by photographic world.

  • @Mescalamba They understand VERY good what amateur photographers need. Outstanding line of lenses and lens roadmap. New NX20 and NX200 and new HIGH-END NX body are on the way...

  • @ork1969 Yea except fact, that I saw hundreds of amateurs with basic Canikon dSLRs and never saw even one with NX. I saw one guy with Panasonic G1 some time before, but he was actually pro user testing camera.

Samsung is decent in developing and covering needs, but really sux in marketing. If they were Apple, they would have 50% market share now even with Samsung NX10.
