I don't give two shits about how it looks. Is it any good? I have an X-Fi so I don't want that USB crap but on the other hand it won't work with a mic for some idiotic reason. An X-Fi extreme gamer - doesn't handle mics. That's effed up. Is the USB sound card like an integrated? Like, pure crap. Or is it decent?

thinking about picking these up... anyone know how the quality is? I have a 5.1 surround sound, sound card in my pc now, and I was thinking about getting this to replace my Head Rush Gaming head set. are these headphones actual 7.1? or are they just a basic head set with the 7.1 usb sound card? and will I see any diff over my 5.1 pci card? don't want to waste $120 on these if they aren't going to be better then what I already have.

i dont know about its surround sound but i listened to "linkin park- lying from you" on it and it blew me away i just wonder if the siberia v2 will be better for music than the old one is

id say its not cause it says its optimized for gaming (the siberia neckbound also is optimized for gaming and i can tell from listening on my own it really is a littel bit worse for music than the siberia v1)

its quite good quality, better than my speakers, but the mic is tricky to get working, and i never got the usb mic input to work

yeah I grabbed them from a local shop when my old head phones kicked the bucket, downloaded the latest usb sound card drivers from the site, and they are a bit better then my old head phones, sadly they are similar to my old sony dj head phones with my old 5.1 sound card. not much of an improvement.

They are a stereo (but still great sound quality) headset with a 7.1 usb card.

As for the overall quality, though, make sure the game you are playing is compatible with 7.1 surround sound. TES4: Oblivion has AWESOME music and sounds, but is not 7.1 compatible, it's compatible with 5.1 and stereo.

Most fps's should be fine with 7.1.

if your more interested in music with the headset, then look somewhere else. the quality of the music wont be as good with these because they are designed for game sounds

Lol I bought them probably a day or two after I made that post, they were great for gaming up until about a week ago when someone decided to be a dick and put them on thoe floor to make room on the desk then stepped on them after being done on the computer

I know, $134 gone in less then a month, I was fuckin furious!!! haha but yeah that's the end of other people using my computer, I put a pw on it.. perhaps i'll build a tower with a celeron and 256mb of ram for less then $200 and let people use that :) i'll even down clock the cpu to make it slower haha

that's quite a good motherboard. you can overclock core2duo with it. i haven't tried core2quad.. because that motherboard is my friend's motherboard.

Only Siberia full size black and white have the soundcard.. The only difference will be, the surround sounds..

Without the USB, the headset is only stereo headset. But with the usb, it will be a 7.1 Surround Sound.
