@locolops In my book it is the best game ever made. It nails everything a story driven game should have. Far too many so called "story driven" games lack essential features such as great cut scenes to help elevate the story, flawed combat system that just isn't fun, terrible AI, etc. And the cut scenes aren't just the simple talk scenes. They're action packed and get your adrenaline rushing for the upcoming mission.

@pollordubai That is a tough question. It has almost equal amounts of both elements, but there is quite a bit of shooting. It is a very great game though, I recommend it.

@pollordubai It can go either way. It all depends on what you consider a RPG. It's sci-fi RPG shooter (obviously), where a race called The Collectors are wiping out entire human colonies and it's your job to assemble a team to take the fight to The Collectors.

You are typically given 3 different locations at a time where you can recruit squad members, and you can do them in any order. There are also a substantial amount of side quests.

There is a demo on BioWare's website you can try out.

One thing, is it's not about space combat. In fact, it's not about space period except for traveling. It's about saving planets. First from The Geth, then from The Collectors, and finally, you will be fighting The Reapers, which is the all time biggest threat.

It has to be one of my favourite games that I played on the PS3. I just finished it the second time and Im tempted to play it a third on hardcore. However, I got everyone to survive the second time, first time just got half my crew back and whole squad and I want to wait so I can export my character to the third and possibly get more side mission with old crewmates.

1) This is a pre-release version before the game was fine tuned and optimized. There's no telling how old this build was.

2) You're watching a YouTube video. Even 720p and 1080p videos are automatically compressed.

3) I've played the Xbox 360 version and the game looks a lot better than this.

4) The PC version looks even better.

@IMDBmoderator I really enjoyed Dragon Age II, but I wouldn't call it the greatest game of all time. The cut scenes and conversations aren't as enthralling as they are in Mass Effect 2. Hawke is really calm and laid back in general in Dragon Age II (although he/she does have his/her moments), whereas in Mass Effect 2 in just about every discussion Shepard threatens to put a bullet through someones skull, and there are just a lot more action oriented cut scenes in this one.

@enterprise0709 Yes, you can buy fish at different points in the game. Throughout the world there are many commerce areas with vendors where you can purchase goods. You can purchase fish from them and when you go to your cabin they will be in your fish tank swimming around.

You can also buy replicas of various different ships which you can display in your cabin as well. Essentially, you can decorate it.

@fashnek Of course it does. You're looking at a pre-release "work in progress" version of the game on YouTube, which has terrible compression, even on 720p and 1080p videos.

It's really easy to spot this is probably an early-mid beta build.

1) The shields/heath meter is glitched.

2) The highlight reticle is also completely different from the release version.

3) Different texts in the Normandy is highlightable, which it isn't in the final release.

@GaaraCreed Some decisions are made through a conversation you have with Miranda and Jacob, others (such as Wrex being alive) are static. The PS3 owners get a graphic novel that lets them choose more plot points like the Rachni.

the "soul" of this game is AMAZINGLY GREAT... but realisation is still not perfect... it needs less scary shooting(for this there is dead space) and have more grown futuristic ideas and future l"open space" ife... maybe butifull planets as "avatar", some kind of alien animals etc... and shooting must be at least as in killzone... and do it in 3D ant with motioncontroller stuff... itll be fantasticly cool... and best regrets to designers of this game... its more serious then crazy "dead space"
