  • A copper is a British penny or half penny from the 1600's to 1799.

  • if anyone knows of any areas worth hunting in oregon specificaly central oregon let me know thanks

  • Thank you for posting! I don't know anything about Oregon, but am sure someone watching might know. I would try old logging campsites from the 1800's to early 1900's. I have here in Pa found great coins from these sites. It's worth checking out my friend. Bill(pa)

  • I think that I have found my new line "Lets get crackin'"

  • I am glad you like it. I like it too; and for being born in Scotland I think I just kept the saying going without realizing. We have Tee shirts made up with this saying and with many others we have. Thank you for your nice comments.. Bill(pa)

  • Nice find but can tell you all are not coin collectors.

  • Well most of these coppers we do find are not really worth much. But we do find ones that are and the condition are better and obviously we will not rub them at all. Bill(pa)

  • I sware the amount of times you guys rub your coins you rubbed the dates right off them. :D

    Good video,

    Keep @ it and HH!!

  • Look forward to more old coins & relics - good luck in '09!

  • Thank you Judy and to you too! I hope for a better year this year than the last. I got out twice. Once to the Old Colonial Grist Mill & to Culpeper Va. at DIV10 & a pre div site. The Va sites were for 5 days though. So if I get out 5 or 6 times this year would be great! Thank you for your interests in the Time Searchers video series. Bill(Pa)

  • Enjoyed the video! Nice spot!

  • Thank you Judy! You know the big fort site is around there within a hundred yards or so. I'll hopefully get back there this spring, but I have a few new sites I have need some attention. But yes it is a nice spot. Thank Judy for posting and watching our videos.

    Bill(Pa)

  • Outstanding find guys! Better year than we are having.

I would recommend though not to rub the dirt off your finds with such effort, you will damage any coin you find.

    Great stuff though.

    Pete

  • Yes you are so right Pete. We try not to rub so much. But most of these coppers are not worth much but they are some that are. I'll try to remember not to rub them in the future. Thanks Pete... Bill(pa)

  • Great Video Bill!...Looks like you have a great place to hunt. Keep 'em coming.!

  • Thank you very much! Yes we do have a blast every time we get out. Not all the time we get days like that but they come once in a while. Not too often. Mostly if we find one copper we are very happy!! Thanks Bill(pa(

  • very nice finds! those coppers wow ! my oldest coin is from 1965 but i'm only 14!

    Greetz from Holland!

  • You keep at it my friend and the goodies should be just around the corner. You should look into your local history and see if anything happened there more than few hundred years ago. But Holland be around for longer than that so check out the old houses. Thanks for watching and be patient! Bill(pa)
