No, the neighborhood pet store had him. Odd, isn't that? I bought him with 2 week's allowance money (you know he *must* have been cheap, right??)

I love VW!

My dad always had one-and-a-half bugs which he dis- and re- assembled on the sidewalk. The spare "half" resided in an enormous hall closet.

I would have loved to see you with the Skunk. We haven't any here but when in the U.S.A. the car I was in went over a dead one and the stink in the car was something else. Did it stay in the house? The VW repairs are interesting I used to do oil changes etc. but with new cars I can hardly find the dipstick. Good video, your so relaxed. Denis.

You have never smelled fresh skunk? GOOD! It's worse than burning tires, and lasts forEVER! Pepe had his scent glands removed though. He had a warren under my dresser, wasn't allowed in the main house, my mother insisted! My room was on an enclosed porch. Denis, I won't own any car with computer chips and all that! I still take care of my truck.

Och...I'm getting all nostalgic. My childhood is totally linked to a series of bugs and one rabbit.

There was something honest about those machines. If you cared enough, you could figure out how they worked and not be a slave to some snotty mechanic.

EXACTLY! My third bug (the one I really truly owned) was abandoned in a friend's driveway by my ex. He said "if you want it, you can have it". My brother went with me, tweaked the clutch pedal spring - I drove that thing for five years, and learned to keep it together. I figured if it's that easy, even *I* can do it!

Oh how I looked for a pop up camper VW before my trip..I had a 64 bug- No air perfect Arizona car LOL you cant kill those cars..(caught on fire..$75.00 & it was back up and running)

Well not really "It" ... Alice.. her whole name was "Alice with the blue gown on" She was a miracle car..her license plates was a bible verse, of a miracle. Oh there have been others.. the red popup VW camper, the Green VW camper, 2-blue bugs, white rabbit..and that was just if we were all at home at once (my dad fixed vw's) I've lost track of how many VW have been in our family.

I am so going to watch that man burn.. :)
