For me it's not so much the drivers, they're fine, it's the whole attitude. Since F&F came out America has latched onto the concept of modifying japanese cars That's what american D1 feels like. A cheap way to cash in on the F&F craze whereas Japanese D1 and drifting itself is treated more like a delicate artform for enthusiasts. And nobody wants to see drivers doing a bad job at "drifting" mustangs and pontiacs decked out entirely in stickers.

Now, I like american cars, have one my self, but when it comes to drifting, Japanese cars are preferred. I guess idk what I'm trying to get at here but japs make great cars when it comes to gas mileage and handling. America does it better for example the Zo6 Vette has 505 bhp and still can get 27 to 29mpg on the highway. has a top speed of 202 mph and the handling of a Lambo.
