Good job. Some people need to understand that a rifled barrel is for bullets and a smoothbore barrel is for balls. The one thing i would suggest doing with the stock barrel you get with the gun is to get a dowel, some really fine sandpaper (I used 1500), and some double-faced tape. taping the sandpaper to the dowel and evenly sanding the inside of the barrel will make it shoot smoothly and your groups from 50ft. are usually within about 6 inches from the center. that's about as good as i can do
No, I did not change the CO2. On a hand held chrono, I din't have any drop off till the end of the thirds clip. This being done with in the first 2 clips I felt for consistency that the source should stay the same. Keep in mind,I did all this when the the marker first came out.
its nice that some1 actually knows how to do a real scientific test and not just shoot at the target from 3 feet away while holding the gun and then making conclusions.
yeah it's like spinning a glass of water with an ice cube in it, removing the air that causes turbulence is better, also constancy is about 95% of the battle.
wow this is one of the best reviews of anything I have seen. You took your self out of the equation which is the best way to compare any barrel and/or gun. I wish other people would do this with their reviews.
i dont think 6 inch barrels can show a big different in paintball accuracy test. it doesnt have a enough time to stay in the barrel, but good test i'll keep it in mind that if i ever get a pistol i dont have to upgrade the barrel.
bad test i have a hammerhead 14inch barrell and it is unbeliveable accurate but it has to be tuned into the gun. there is different velocity setting for each barrels get the both of them tuned in proper then test them out
Hammer Heads are awesome barrels, but like DarkMentor said, the barrels just too short to have any effect. While the 14 inch you're using would have enough time to cause spin on the ball, while the 6 inch doesn't have the length to initiate spin.
Good vid - you did a good job setting the marker up in the wood stand. i am surprised that the HH wasn't more consistent but like you said maybe need to try different paint.
hey thanks for posting this. It makes me happy to see that both barrels are about the same. This means that I won't even have to consider buying a better one. IMO the accuracy of the TPX isnt that bad. Too bad my chops paint like nutz though.
But...but...but...the hammerheads look soooo coooooooool.......sob

will the tpx hammerhead barrel fit on a A5
jl2296 2 years ago
yeah, its a5/x7 threaded
countrysidegoth 2 years ago
TPX is A5/X7 threaded, so yes. The reverse will have to clear the pistol's shroud, so it will become limited.
SuicidalRevolver 2 years ago
yes it will.
TeamTacticalChaos 2 years ago
if the threading is the same on both the a5 and the tpx then.....i would prolly think so...lol
SwoopdySwoop 2 years ago
yes, it is a5/x7 threaded
