Interesting that they featured the cameo with Ratchet. You'd assume that Sony would be more than willing to add Ape Escape to something like Playstation Move Heroes, but there are far more crossovers/cameos between J&D/R&C/Sly than the homages shared between the Ape Escape games and two or so R&C games. It's more of a homage than anything else.

And besides, the Ape Escape games feel drastically different than the other titles I've mention. It'd be a strange combination.

i don't know if our versions are different, but my monkey is called SAL-3000 and it looks like al the other SALs except it has pink armor. what is up with your game?

@freqrexy yeah, i also prefer ninja, but gotchaman is just useful for if they are close on each other, so for the secret monkeys it's not really good :)

@s4k1ng1f Well, for one, different voice acting, and the translation is a little different between the two versions. Also there's not RATCHET monkey, for whatever reason, which is strange, because it's in the JPN and EU versions.

@norlie09 Your copy might be the USA version, which may have different cheats to unlock stuff. I don't know the American codes myself if that's the case.

Eh? I didn't think it was a "rip-off". Both R&C and Ape Escape were developed by Sony first-party developers (R&C - Insomniac, and AE - Sony Japan's in-house development team). Not to mention that Ratchet is EXTREMELY popular in Japan, so I call it a great homage :D

The pipotrons actually dance? I just assumed because of their behaviour that they're that much harder to stun than the usual, especially with the Genie Charmer.

Wait, um, you meant protagonist, right? When you were talking about Hakeru, you said antogonist. Anyway, it's sad, but if you think about it, all those apes were a goodbye present because the main series is now gone. I hope I'm wrong. I hope EXTREMELY that I am wrong. Also, it's annoying how the American company would want to help American players less. I'm so glad I finally got to see Ratchet. Also, UK did a lot better on translation and name edits.

I'm sure the main series won't go - sure this would be the third entry in the series, but as long as there's still a fanbase, I'm sure it would keep going.

Japanese Ratchet??? (Green-er pants and big Eye brows).

The Pipotron were created by Helga's/Haruka's (another character the UK shouldn't know) father: a friend of the professor. He also created the Pipotron J (characters only in Japan).

In Pumped and Primed, Helga's intermission cutscenes show that her father has been missing. In the Anime, Helga says she lived alone for years without her father, and her mother is still unknown.

I guess there's a lot for me to cover in my P&P playthrough...

Yeah, since we never got Pumped and Primed I never really knew what the Pipotrons looked like and reacted like until looking them up on Wikipedia. I'm pretty much curious to know what they were like. (but if only I wasn't going on vacation tomorrow...!)

It sucks that U.K. didn't get Pumped & Primed. I think you guys need to play it. It is fun to fight Dark Jake...and every other boss. But it's not awesome and action-filled like AEMM. I THOUGHT that the U.K. was supposed to get that, but apparently it didn't happen.
