  • @adrianaveliz I am talking about the kick up forward motion of the exercise that is a waste of motion. The kick back part of the exercise is very good though for building a bigger butt with the right diet plan.

  • The kick up is a waste of time because it is a glute exercise and the glutes should be under constant tension to build muscle. I know this by doing this exercise myself and I added 4 inches to my glutes after incorporating this into my plan with the constant muscle tension.

  • @Kahlem18 I don't get it, if you add 4 inches to you butt with this exercise why then is it a waste of time?...in less you did not wanted a bigger butt...is it?

  • Agreed the kick up is a waste of time, just looks like your doing more.

  • @Kahlem18 The "kick up" on the forward part of the motion? Why would this be wasted time/effort if it incorporates the selected glute to perform and the leg is under constant tension? This looks like a good ROM excercise for glute, quad, hamstring, adductor, abductor, and posterior chain muscles when done unilaterally without means of upper body support, why is it not effective?

  • The kick up is a pretty much wasted motion. This is all about glute development and keeping the glute under pressure.

  • I am wondering if they adding for either a stretch of the glute between movements or because it is visually pleasing to the women. In any case I agree it is not assisting in the bullding or sculpting of the glutes to any great or adequate degree.
