  • love 3:13 - 3.17, I have a same opinion with you, Mr. Dio

  • Comment removed

  • Different because stupid new hip hop

  • @johnnyhala

He has no reason to chill out because he couldn't be more than right. American Idol is a fucking joke and the sooner people realize that the sooner this country will stop sucking so much in relation to the music industry.

  • I love RJD, he was a great artist and he is missed, but concerning American Idol, he really needs to just chill out, it's a talent show, nothing more, and he's right, those people fade into obscurity eventually, but it's just a talent show.

  • Speaking the truth!

  • I agree with what Ronnie says here.

  • His right.

  • Interviews like these make me want to live in Europe.

  • Dio is right...the American music industry now is a joke. It's about who can sell the latest pimp cream over actually working hard for the fame and having passion/soul for the music. I'm an American in the younger generation and even I can say that. So glad I grew up in a family where my older sister showed me the real music that deserved to be listened to. The local bands in my area could show up the 'big artists' now. imo, Lady Gaga has to practically have sex on stage just to get attention.

  • 'could you please introduce yourself?'-WHAT THE FUCK,ARE YOU CRAZY OR STUPID HE DOESNT NEED TO DO THAT CAUSE HE IS THE KING-HE NEEDS NO INTRODUCTION

  • @666theseventhson its formal chill but yeah if you dont know who dio is youre the first in line. \m/

  • what ronnie is saying here about the american idol thing is exactly the same thing brian johnson of ac/dc said in a very recent article. true. it's about hard work and making your bones. johnson began as a nobody who took the bus to have the chance to sing in front of 30 people. american idol is a jack off in that a person is suddenly a star for a month or so, and then tragically nobody all of a sudden. dio has gone down in history because the man made his bones big time. period.

  • @vinnynumbnuts Thats true thay started with small gigs at local bars and worked their way up to the top for dacades. It's a thing of beauty. Hence the song, It's Long Way to The Top.

  • 'could you please introduce yourself?'

heck no! this guy's a legend dude, he needs no introduction!

  • love the idol diss

  • Ronnie was right about American Idol lol but you have to admit, Idol has found some big names. I mean it was a guilty pleasure for me once but I hate the show so much now. I can't believe it's still on.

Oh and also the beginning of the video "I'm Ronnie James Dio from the band Dio...how odd"...can't wipe the smile off my face. Makes me want to cry.

    God bless RJD!

  • i live in Australia and i have not heard a decent band in 30 years....have to rely on my dio and Deep Purple dvd's...and RAINBOW of course!!!!!...seems like the music industry has become about disposable quantity, not quality anymore...what's wrong with people to buy into that?...guess people are too stressed and busy to be able to think anymore...how can you not like Dio's music and songs ...all about the great questions of life..the man had depth and a brain..

  • i hope someone responds to my comment because I feel so frustrated after listening to all of this.See,i live in Greece and i constantly feel i live in a miniature of America kind of country.People here listen to pop shit from abroad like Madonna and their greek wannabee counterparts. We metalheads are so few thats why i hate when people say rock and metal is for the few.If people listened to music LIKE THIS,wouldnt they get smarter?i'd like to think so,like he said-its a way of life DIO IS GOD!

  • "In Europe it's in general much better than in America" - I love that quote ;-)

  • It's the same in the UK. It seems impossible for a band to make it anymore - unless their winger wins "Britains got the pop factor with talented dancing"

  • I love this guy.

    Soooo sad he is gone...

  • He was right... American music has been really bad now for quite some time & this is why I have been listening to European black metal - thrash - death - etc... it's sad to see where the state of music is going in America... Dio was the man...

  • Ronnie james DIO - lead vocals

    Criss Oliva - guitars

    Randy Rhoads - guitars

    Cliff Burton - Bass, Vocals

    Eric Carr - Drums

  • i might move to eastern europe now!

  • DIO!! RIP!! \m/

  • hey, guys, how true is this! why oh why are people today so hooked on "idol" whats happened. actuatly i think its better we have the wide gap between the two .keep rock seperatefrom the mainstream. keep it special!!

  • Thank you Dio! I'm from the ohio valley and Heavy metal reigns supreme there! I'm so tired of the whole bleeding heart with an acoustic guitar thing! Rock on in heaven!

  • @RogueMetal13 in heaven ? the devil horns he was makin' all the time and the fact that ... the holy diver tape case had the devil tossing a chained up priest into a lake of fire , I'm not so sure he is in heaven but as stated in a previous vid , he went and kicked the devil right in the fuckin stones lol .... prob took over... btw , just my opinion, dont get mad and comment hate back to me , just found the mention of him in heaven irresitable to comment on and respect your opinipn, take it easy

  • Well, American Idol was a rip off of a show that started in Europe. Yes, American culture sucks and is geared towards the lowest common denominator, but let's not act like Europe is pure and completely free of the same dreadful corporatism. It's not.

  • Australia is the same if not WORSE than America in that way. thanks RJD, for everything

  • Great guy. So sad that he's gone.

  • Every thing he said is true, but its just generations changing. Think about it...back then people thought that Elvis was horrible and made music of the devil. Then there children thought he was great then they thought that bands like ledzeppelin where horrible but there kids loved it and now you're grandpa thought that bands like mettalica was horrible but you're mom and dad loved them. And now You "pricks" like JB and gaga and you're parents think they are shit. Generations change.

  • such a nice guy, why did he have to die?? WHHHYYYYYYY??

  • A true Hero ! You Rock /,,/

  • Ronnie just had so much class...I really like "American Karoke"...that's way funny ^lll^

As American as I am...we do suck in so many ways.

  • I feel ashamed for being American, Dio is SO right.

  • Dio=The TRUTH

  • Dio, you are awesome¡¡

  • American Karaoke LOL - Well said Ronnie. He was right about learning the craft and muscle memory.

  • He simply makes me proud of my music

rest in peace the most awesome man ever

  • Last in line! There is a chosen one to awaken Ronnie James spirit. There is one man who has been chosen to awaken Dio's music.

  • the man speaks the truth

  • i would give anything to have a nice sit down convo with dio, he seems like a good guy to talk about things to

  • He isn't dissing the US as a country he is dissing the American music industry, and he's right! When was the last time the American music industry promoted a good kick ass rock band the way they promote commercial BS? I'm a proud American but the music scene here sucks now because of commercialism.

  • @hobbes937 I agree...it seems things like Nicki Minaj and Rebecca Black (god that friday song is freaking terrible, even with autotune) are favored over the easily soulful/passionate rock acts out there. You gotta feel sorry for younger kids that are exposed to that kind of stuff and don't know any better. Probably one of the greatest acts of commercialism is American Idol, however there is but ONE contestant that caught my attention (James Durbin) because he seems like a rocker with potential.

  • @Crystasorrow damn right! im 11 but i love this amazing singer. more people should listen to dio and aerosmith and iron maiden instead of rap and hip hop. but hay gotta listen to what you want to, am i right?

  • @hobbes937 amen brother

  • @hobbes937 I agree 100% with you. I live in Kansas and every hick loves their stupid country and the rest that arn't hicks, listen to either gangster rap, Lady Gaga, Justin "Faggot" Bieber or some shit like that. Everytime some d-bag disses rock or metal, i back it up every time, i laugh and tell them "you dumb shit, you have no idea what your missing". They've lost the real music.

  • @hobbes937 Rock was much more 'in' in the 80's, so there were much more sales. Now there is more sales in r&b and hip hop. The inudstry changed because the trends changed. The music industry wasn't led by metalheads back then, (as in the label presidents etc), and it's not led by r&b artists today. It just promotes more, what sells the most.

  • alguien sabe que dice en el minuto 3:07

es sobre la nariz pero no se que mas dice

  • Ronnie is Jezus of music.

  • was dio from german or jewish ancestry?

  • @longfootbuddy he wasitalian american

    fucking American Idol is trash

  • I MISS HIM!!!!!!!!

  • EVERYONE LISTEN UP

    Rock Music Listeners

On September 15th we will all be visiting Justin Biebers "BABY" video

which has over 240 million views.

On that day everyone must leave a negative comment and dislike the video.

Help us destroy the little faggots music for good. The goal is to make the dislike bar bigger than the like bar. JOIN US!!!

Copy and paste this to other rock vids: EX. metallica, disturbed, A7X, guns and roses, Bullet, slipknot. ANYTHING Rock!

  • @TheWrestlemaniaco Looks like it worked!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheWrestlemaniaco . Lame negative comment campaigns will only increase his Youtube "views", which is all that matters for him.

If you wanna make a real difference, find people who "view" Biebers videos, gauge out their eyes, and skull fuck them. If people are unable to "view" his videos, Bieber disappears. Plus, you get an excuse to skull fuck somebody.

  • This was an amazing interview

  • True, but metal was never meant to be mainstream anyhow.

  • Dio had class , what a great person . RIP

  • Everywhere's a place of trends.

Ronnie James Dio is/was awesome. Not only was he a legend of heavy metal, he was also a great human being. I mean Ozzy (no offense to him) pretty much told MTV, "Oh yeah, you guys can film my everyday life and shit.", Dio didn't, and as much as I respect Ozzy, I respect Dio more.

  • after hearing that I think i'm lucky to live in Finland

  • hes about right. .. I could about strangle the mental midgets and intellectual stumps that insist on excitedly discussing the previous nights American idol or whatever it is they vote on, If half of these cognitive toadstools voted we wouldn't be in the mess we are.

uuuhh, scratch that .. i hope they stay stuck to the tube and don't vote.

we are a nation of idiots and feebs.

    Dio rocked. we miss him.

  • RIP Dio

  • hahaha. American Karaoke is what i'm calling it now. Thanks Dio.

  • rest in hell dio

  • dio went up to heaven to take his rightful place, on the throne next to god.

  • Dio was right - i love him, always has. Best voice ever.

  • Not only one of the greatest vocalists ever, not only one of the most respected metal icons, but also a GREAT person....

Ronnie we remember you, we love you and we miss you!

  • R.I.P Master of the Moon

  • its a sad fact. people like dio need to be more famous. fuck hannah montana and shit like that. fucking autotune figure shit fuck that

  • Wooooo! Dio is the fricken man!

Hope all the legends of metal realize there are still some real classic metal fans in North America!

    \m/

  • Wooooo! DIo is the fricken man!

Hope all the legends of metal realize there are still some real classic metal fans in North America!

    \m/

  • I LOVE Ronnie, he really spoke his mind and he is DEAD ON here !! RIP, Metal has lost a great solder :- (

  • I AGREE WITH DIO! i SECOND THAT ABOUT THE STATES! AMERICAN IDOL IS TOTAL BULLSHIT!!!

  • Great Artist... Great Person...

  • It's true what he says Real talent comes from busting out your ass and playing at Bars, High School Gyms, Partys etc. Not this American Idol BullShit, besides all they ever look for are Pop Singers.

  • Dio was such a smart, respectable man. R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio

  • Dio is so right, the US has become American Idol Nation, a bunch of empty, vapid, mouth -breathers who wouldn't know good music if it jumped up and bit them in the ass. If it looks pretty, smiles nice and talks with a silver tongue but says nothing of value, they buy it, they are the same useful idiots who voted that phony into the White House. "Fool, Fool!" RIP Ronnie!

  • god i was born in the wrong time period. i want to go back in time and grow up in the 70s. i really do. this is awful... i agree with mr. dio 100% all of this yuppie comercial garbage nowadays is shit. im sorry to everyone on behalf of my generation for ruining america. RIP Dio. your music will still live on through all the shit of today /,,/

  • He hates American Idol, Great man isn't he. He must have gone through hell to get where he was.. the God of Metal and all..

  • So right about the United States unfortunately, no appreciation for real music, there are still some of us here that love what you have done...RIP Dio.

  • @Nragemachine Agreed man! That's what i think everyday when I hear the shit people listen to.. and Dio I hear ya man.

Dio, Alice Cooper, ACDC, all the rock legends!!

  • I had the pleasure of seeing him in 1974 when he came to town. ELO - Deep Purple - Elf. And a later bill with Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow . Elf was the opening act and rocked Market Square Arena to its knees! The whole bill kicked major ass. Never ever heard anyone like him at the time. I never had any idea that he would have the impact on Metal that he did at that time.

  • Maybe the greatest voice in "Hard & Heavy" business.

The one and only master of oldscholl.

    I will never forget him.

By the way, he was a very, very gentle and nice man. Always polite and near his fans.

I'm very sad about his dead.

Ronnie, in our hearts you will live FOR EVER !!

    R.I.P.

  • Dio is right. Trends really need to go in America. Why can't it just be the best gets the best? Dio is the perfect example. He makes great music but gets barely ANY glory in America. The highest chart single is Number 10 on the Mainstream Rock. NOT EVEN TOP 40. THIS WAS MORE THAN 30 YEARS AGO!

  • This man was so genuine and eloquent. The things he says in this video are so "to the bone". His "tell it like it is" comments will be dismissed by the so called Lovers of modern music / Rap Crap or just plain BS trash people pass off as music. Music's Artistry on the whole has lost one of its greatest contributions. Such a shame that CANCER has taken away another great. ( I have felt that same loss personally). The music world has lost one of (if not) the greatest voice in rock music. RIP RJD

  • He was not only a small man with a big voice but he seemed to be such a nice person.R.I.P Ronnie

  • Fuck man, i loved this guy, he had balls of steel.

  • @Tonyp68 balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, balls,

  • Scandinavia \m/

  • peccoto che morto

  • Dio was very honest and down to earth. The nicest guy in metal.

  • well said. he seems not bitter, just honest.

  • there is nobody like dio. he was one of the best musicians ever. his voice gave me fucking shivers. nobody else can do that

  • I COULDN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE, RONNIE. YOU FUCKING ROCK----WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU

  • He is a really great guy...usually a lot of rockers are stuck up. Dio on the other hand doesnt need to show off for people to think hes great..........Rock In Peace Dio

  • There was no cooler musican then Ronnie James Dio. We just lost the coolest musician in the world : (

  • Fuk, he's so right on about the States and the gutter trash that is American idol!

  • @Jmurray5150

Too true...sad to say but too true.

  • FUCK YES! All hail Dio! He sounds like me arguing about people like Justin Beiber and shit like that.

  • @DrKillinSpillin yes justin beiber is shit , its a shame this country has come to that , wow i just heard about his death , i am really sad , ronnie rip

  • we miss you dio

  • Ronnie James Dio was not just an Awesome singer, frontman, and entertainer - he was a genuinely great person who cared about his family, friends, and fans! What's the point in arguing and putting other people down? Let's appreciate and celebrate his life by keeping his music alive! RIP, RJD! We love and miss you!

  • RIP Ronnie.

  • I'm 16 and I'd have seen a Dio show over ANYBODY that's ever been on American Idol.

  • 100 dollar tickets my kids want to go to 5 hundred bucks to get in cops searching everyone fucketman we loved you man rip

  • large studio is gone but left his legacy here in the world with so much love to HEAVY METAL! actually he was honored and honored.

  • DIO TELLS IT LIKE IT IS, i wish i lived in europe.

  • RIP dio u are a metal god

  • M.Jackson and Dio died in less than a year... the end is near... ;-(

  • lol sadly, everything he says about America is true, I should be ashamed, but it's coming from DIO!!!

  • lol....

    "Pimple cream"

God bless you Ronnie man, too early did you die!

  • What DVD is Dio referring to?

  • Ronnie RIP.

I can Honestlet say Man were going to miss you.

    God Bless

  • ROCK ON!!

  • God, if you give us dio back we could give you that justin shitber asshole and so you will have something to kick the shit out when we sin and we have a metal god through us who makes our life better.. DEAL?

  • R I P

  • Could this guy be any more awesome?

  • American Idol rap house all the same none music

  • Please....LOL...take Fuckface Nugent...Bring DIO back!!

  • I'm going to England

  • Dio were British, right? He sounds American..

  • @SnopElsker Ronnie James Dio is American

  • ROCK IS FOREVER!!! SO IS DIO... BOTTOM LINE!! HE SPEAKS THE TRUTH!! CHURCH OF DIO MEETS HERE!!! MAGNETIC PLAYGROUND. COM

  • Well said Ronnie. Maybe his words didnt fall on deaf ears completely with a far cry from Ronnie James DIO in Bret Michals being thrown around for replacing Simon. We could see some metal ballads or even straight metal on american idol soon i would imagine. Bret Michals would stand up for a metal band.

  • For those about to rock we salute you! For those not, FUCK YOU!!! RIP RJD!

  • Dio is beyond cool (I refuse to use the past tense)

  • R.I.P. RJD \m/

  • not all think that way

  • Dio, as usual, nailed the truth that's hard as steel. Thanks to the continued removal of music education from schools, and greed...the american music scene now sucks balls. Dio you will be missed brother.

  • AMERICA SUCKS

    (im american)

  • @j0shred1 How about pop culture in America sucks? Real America, like Dio AND Ted Nugent, is tough, strives for excellence and kicks ass when needed. Don't confuse it with what you see on most of TV which is cerebral oatmeal for the soft-skulled masses easily swayed and controlled by the degenerates in Hollywood and the criminals in the White House and Congress.

  • @rprime7 Mabey i should have worded that differently

  • @j0shred1 No problem...I'm just passionate about our country and where it is headed, like most of us are about Dio and what he meant to us and the music we embrace. Rock on and RIP RJD!

  • he has the most amazing voice and everything he says about the pop scene today is true. It's just a shame that wat he describes america as is what the UK and become also

  • R.I.P Metal God

  • Ronnie James Dio was FUCKING GAY! I'm so glad he's dead I hope he's burning in hell the stupid little piece of shit who destroyed music. Rest In Hell you good for nothing piece of shit! MWAHAHAHAHA!

  • @D3thN1ght How bout you stop wasting your life , by talking shit about someone that is 10000000x better , straighter and epicer then you . How bout you just go back to your room and cut yourself becuse no one loves you. DIO R.I.P \m/

  • @forsak3nkill3r Nope. Not gonna happen. Ronnie James Dio was a piece of shit who really did deserve to die. So now I get to bask in the glory of his death. That guy was a fucking idiot who didn't know AT ALL how to make good music. His ONLY good song was Holy Diver. That's it. That's all he's got. He doesn't deserve any of the other shit people all praise him for. Rest in Hell Ronnie James Dio. :P

  • @D3thN1ght Ok im sorry that you have no taste in music and listen to the Jonas bros or some shit but i dont see why you have to go on like 20 Dio videos and talk shit.

  • @D3thN1ght Go fuck youself man, Dio made the best songs in the history of Metal, and will forever be a legend. He was fucking awesome, and achieved more than you could ever hope to, go listen to Lady GaGa while we people who have an IQ over 63 enjoy good music.

  • @ManOrDemon No he didn't. He took over for Ozzy in Black Sabbath. That was one of the worst abominations in the history of metal. His voice sucked, his music sucked, and the whole band sucked after Ozzy left. Ozzy is what made that band good and fucking gay ass little Ronnie James Dio had to come along and fuck it up. It would have been much better if that band would have just split right then and there then to let that gay bastard into it. Fuck Ronnie James Dio, rest in hell you piece of shit.

  • @D3thN1ght And who your favorite singer.....Barry Manilo....? Granted Ozzy was a vital part of Sabbath, so was Dio!!!! As crazybrowsdj said "In my opinion Ronnie James Dio is the number one best entertainer,( notice i said entertainer not just front man or singer or metal singer, and not just in metal but out of all music,) he is the best entertainer ever and the world is a lil worse without him. If the world had more like him, it would be a very better place." Amen Brother! R.I.P. Dio!!!!

  • @D3thN1ght by the way sad twat. I was a sound engineer when Ronnie took over, just for a while, for Ozzy, in the Astoria theatre in London. not even sure why im replying to scum like you. you obviously Know shit all about actual music. or maybe you have an agenda..but i dont think so..you kind of need brains for that. by the way be careful how much you can piss someone off because the world is such a small place and getting smaller and smaller and smaller...;) Alice in Wonderland

  • @doriangreyification Wow. I posted that 6 months ago. I didn't think anyone would waste their time with this anymore. Anyway, I really could give a shit less about it. So just let it go. I can't even hardly remember what the hell I was talking about here.

  • @D3thN1ght ...Dio lived a long time, he rode waves of immense success many times, last I saw him he was prowling the stage of the LA Forum, he went to Julliard School of music on a scholarship. He had more talent in his fart than you do in your entire pathetic existence. So go ahead write some more, your tiny brain needs the work

  • @icomearoundnow Yea well just because he rode immense success doesn't mean that he doesn't suck. Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and as you mentioned, The Jonas Brothers are all immensely successful but they all suck horribly. They of course suck even worse then Ronnie James Dio. But Ronnie still sucks at music. I've never even heard any of his other songs that actually sounded good. Holy Diver was it for him. Every other song by him is terrible though. So he really doesn't deserve all that praise.

  • @D3thN1ght I read on here that you have commented on 20 of Dio's videos putting him down...why? He earned his success through putting out great records and touring not through flashy videos and teenybopper publicity like the ones you mentiond. You're saying you know something that Ritchie Blackmore, and Tony Iommi don't? He got a scholarship to Julliard. He's not your cup of tea, fine, but don't say he doesn't know music..You haven't mentioned who you like

  • @icomearoundnow It's funny how seriously people take stuff on the internet. One guy comes along and says a few things that no one else agrees with and everyone hates him for it. Can't you just look at my comment, say "whatever" and move on? The fact that you took something this insignificant so seriously is kinda sad.

  • @D3thN1ght A good answer from someone who has run out of ammo in a great debate about something people care alot about music..check mate buddy.

  • @icomearoundnow Well it doesn't really matter one way or another. I can still talk crap about Ronnie as much as I want to. And seeing how many people completely lose it whenever I do really amuses me quite a bit. That's the reason I do it. Simply to laugh at all the replies I get. And no, I don't live my life trying to irritate other people. I only spend a few minutes a week just pissing people off on the internet on stuff that I hate that they like. It's pretty damn funny.

  • @icomearoundnow And something you should try sometime. Go ahead. Go search something you hate on youtube and talk trash about it. Then just laugh as the comments start pouring in saying how much they hate you. :P

  • @D3thN1ght ..A few minutes a week, well it's much more than that and you know it, but that's good advice; I'll try and ignore the idiots on here.
