  • Germany dosnet have paramedics. They got emergency doctors.

  • @NeoJD Hi Neo.. Not sure what you mean, I stayed with two German paramedics from two different parts of Germany! They have the doctors on cars if that is what you mean, with a paramedic driver tho!! Thanks for your comment!

  • @s62wx I'm sure he meant it as a compliment. "German paramedics are so good they're like doctors themselves"

I feel so strange saying that.

  • @Oceanic180 He he! Thanks for that! :)

  • @s62wx What he meant was paramedic is more an anglo-saxon thing! in europe mainland there is in most countries ambulance technician and emergency medical support personn that cant give any drugs (meds) to the patient only basic first aid. when critical they ve got doctors and nurses to do the job!! without them they are more taxi (transport) people than mobile A&E unit!! Nice video though..

  • @Dmocr8C Ah! Thanks for that mate! Cheers for comment too!

  • Awsome video, can you tell where i can train as an emt in germany? any websites?

  • @jn45672 Thanks for that.. Only web site I know of is this one..

    Hope it helps!!

  • @s62wx ok thanks alot!

    Thanks for your comment!

  • Nice Video :)

    Greetingas from Germanya

  • @RoSKolibri94 Cheers mate..!

  • Was this an official visit arranged through your trust?

  • @ST11002006 Hi, no it was a visit that I arranged after getting to know the guys over there through the photo sharing site Flickr. My trust allowed the guys & gals to come over here and to go out with our vehicles & staff. But like our visit over there all self arranged & financed! I was the hub for the arrangements!

In fact I am going back over there in two weeks and again later in the year..

  • Really nice video! :)

There is no better job then working in an Ambulance! :D

  • @ambulansekim Thanks mate! I agree!

  • Hey m8! First off: nice vid! I would be looking forward to spend a couple of shifts with a fellow paramedic. Maybe that's something I can take care of in the future ;-)

For some of those questions here I'd like to try and answer them, although I haven't been in the german paramedic business for long.

See replies below and regards to all paramedics and firefighters out there ;-)

  • @Shotgunico Thanks for your comments!

Where in Germany are you working..?

Thanks for comment re the two different sirens!

  • i love the Simple 2 Tone Siren. =)

  • Indeed! A bit different from what I am used to but cool!!

    Cheers mate!

  • Brilliant video.

  • Cheers Gary mate! Hope to go again next year!

  • @s62wx Your welcome although i dislike the ambulance lol and sirens :P

  • He he!! :)

  • @s62wx But then again i supose they say that about some off our emergency vehicles lol ;)

  • They do indeed!

But they do like ours quite well..

  • gute Video

    good video

    lol

  • Thanks mate!

  • great video. i love the german sirens, though they sound like they are broken!

  • He he! They do!

  • If you're talking about the sirens around 3:00 then I can clarify: (As far as I know) most ambulance cars here have 2 versions of the electric siren.

One is called "City siren" and one "Country siren". The change of tone makes it easier for people either in the city or in the country to hear us.

  • @Shotgunico Ah that clears that up! Cheers mate!

  • Cool video. Nice driving when you was onboard the ambulance.

  • It was fun being out with them - see how they did it compared to us!!

  • Why don't they use the pneumatic siren? I saw the horns!

  • I think that is the pneumatic siren!!

  • No this was the electric siren, it's called "Pintsch Bamag". The pneumatic siren (so called "Martinshorn") is often only used when crossing a dangerous intersection!

  • Oh! Now I am confused! :)

  • Search for "US Signal - HLF Wache 2 der BFEF" and listen...

  • Cheers !

  • Oh ya, guess I should add that it sounds slightly different, but very close. But hey, it can be just as effective.

  • Thanks for the comments mate!

  • Nice video! Personally I don't mind that siren that they're using there. Where I live in Canada, they use that tone on occassion.

  • yes !!! hate siren !!!this is hella siren ? federal 2 ton is cool !!!

  • It does sound a bit funny.. But I guess ours did to them...!

  • nice car but hate the siren.

  • He he! Know what you mean!!

  • Very nice!

  • Cheers mate!

  • Lovely Video, Why are UK Emergency services so strict on dash camera videos :(

  • Not sure mate! Privacy laws or something like that I guess.. Cheers Ben..

  • WOW, very nice video, some lovely pics too. I especially like the rear beacons.

    Josh.

  • Cheers Josh, It was fun to go and play with those guys!

  • Yeah i bet it was. I like the idea of going on 'duty' with a paramedic, despite wanting to be a traffic cop.

  • Well you should be able to go out 'third manning' with both the Police and Ambulance Services if you write a very nice letter to the respective bosses saying how you are really interested in joining their service etc!!

  • corr, that sounds good. I've always wanted to be a traffic cop but lately i've found myself drawn towards the ambulance service, not sure why.

  • Very Good Video, Full marks from me!!!!

  • Thanks mate..!
