what I meen by that is, you can't define characteristic's for an actor who should win the oscars, they should base judgement on the performance itself, not on the grounds for a bunch of preconceived requirements,if anything, a person should ask...how much do I believe this actor?does he allow me to invest in what the charcter is going through?...etc.

The note book, I feel, is a really touching film and has a really great message, it depicts real love at it's best, to say it deserves an oscar may be pushing it but it's worth considering, it's a question of preference and you can't neccesarily define a movie by whether it's oscar worthy or not.oh and "reo", there are no limitations when it come's to judging a great performance...
