While yes it doesn't mean the same if you are in a Ferrari and someone else is in a Prius, he was talking about racers needing to take risks. Just look back at this past years 24 hr LeMans. There was no need for Mcnish to attempt to pass the Ferrari 458 at that given time, but he is a racer and went for it. You are always pushing to the limit while racing, and even overtaking a slower car, you still have to go for that gap.

@dibovideo Exactly, I was waiting for him to say what he said so I could say what you said. Plus just because it's a slower car doesn't mean it's less of a risk, infact it's more of a risk. Hitting a car going 100mph when you're going 200mph is like hitting a wall at 100mph. Two cars rubbing going 150mph won't destroy either car (maybe cause a shunt, but the impact between the two cars alone will not destroy the two cars if they aren't open wheel). @TheArfdog Passing a slower car is NOT easy.

@freeloaderchriss Starting racing karts when I was a teenager (about 25years ago) and then progressed through the usual forms of car stuff like track days, sprints etc. It's not cheap which is why I'm racing an MX5 and not a Lotus or Lambo. I have raced a couple of road registered cars but this one is a dedicated track car.

Start from Solo. It will give you proper school on traction. Speed without knowing proper handling is dangerous... seriously dangerous. In racing there is no speed limit and you have to have guts... and use your head. Those apply in Solo only that you donot get much chance go over 65mph... except that there is much more action than in wheel-to-wheel eduro racing (you do not have straights that would last more than 1 second and everything is about turning at
