lovekat62, I have not flew much in the last 5 years since I gave up regular International Travel and alot has changed since then but most passnger fresh air vents I have seen on commercial passenger liners have a closed center which becomes the control for the air flow if memory serves me correct. I may be wrong but your reflection looks very much open to me.

When I went from Detroit, Michigan to Nagoya, Japan (airports). I was over Alaska, I looked at the mountains and it was like the plane froze in mid-air but actually what caused it was the air currents, since I was going west to Japan, my plane was going against the "jet stream" which goes from west to east. So in your case, regarding UFOs or anything, your plane probably just went against an air current or stream.

Nah, it's too obvious and he's moving the camera around so you can't take a close look. Everyone knows that it looks like things far away stand still. The moon for example when you're in a car or walking. Also look under the wing at, say 1:07 and then at 2:59

if you goes a 400 knots and wind against with 150knots...ground speed be 250 knots. and plus the high altitude...the moving appears slow motion.

Despite either of our respective levels of air travel, it does not take an air travel enthusiast to see that nothing in this video is out of the ordinary. The altitude of the plane combined with the massive scale of a bleak landscape create a very common optical illusion. The next time you reply to a comment, consider not coming off as a complete fucking moron.

Agree with Vis MajorX - The scale of the landscape is much bigger than you would think. The mountains in the background did change from the window. Nothing is going still here. Remember you are 11 km. up in the air, looking at many hundred km. of landscape.

Optical Illusion. The snow drifts are so huge (think how high up you are and they look like ... buildings, so you expect to pass by them like they were buildings) that there is no frame of reference for you to tell how fast you are moving. HOWEVER there is one element, a sort of crevise in the snow between the large masses and the ridge along the back, from start to finish it slowly moves in to view and the plane moves past it. It just depends on what you focus on, you'll see you are moving.
