Dude Adam Did everything exept lead vocals. He recorded the drums, bass and both guitars, and wrote 80% of the lyrics. He worked his fucking ass off.

How in the hell could 18 people possibly dislike this whatsoever? This is possibly my favorite teaser I have heard yet. After hearing most of the clips from this album, I could care less what the future of Killswitch Engage is. After the last release, I think even Adam needed to push this one out to rid himself of that embarrassment....
@Light2TheFlies08 dude i agree 100 percent!!! in a way, im glad that the new kse new album's 1st tour was changed due to howard leaving. i went to that tour, and phil did vocals. i was SO HAPPY to hear them play mostly AOJB songs (since they fit better with phil) than the new songs. most of the new songs are sappy and too pussy to get into! lol i was stoked to jamn old kse which is 10 times better, thanks to jesse! and now to have jesse back with adam in TOG, is a dream come true! TOG is SICK!
@Light2TheFlies08 Pft, the last album was a great one. Maybe all of you Jesse asskissers don't like it, but Howard made KsE how it is today and the latest album was a dark one for Howard. Jesse is a hell of a lot better now than he was with KSE, I dig ToG more than I do KSE early on. The last album had some great songs on it. Reckoning, Save Me, Starting Over, I Would Do Anything, hell I love the whole album. Though I do admit it has a lot of 'softer' songs on it.
@Direksone FYI, I liked The End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies. KSEII sucked major dick though. It was wayyy too soft. There were a handful of good songs on that album. And every now and then I listen to the whole album when I am in a really sad mood. Like if I am constipated or something. Other than that, it doesn't crack the rotation too often.

Their latest album was my biggest waste of money on music so far, hate it. But yea sometimes bands 'develope' themselves or they search for new things, in the end they're still the same. I've been a musician for a long time and can tell if the voice has been tampered with. Even live, Adam sounds amazing. Even though it might be hard to believe, it seems Adam isn't messing with his voice at all...he's just that good...

@lewismofo I've given that song a good listen and, as a student producer and musician, I have not noticed any vocals that have been auto-tuned at all, Adam is just very good at hitting the right notes.

@lewismofo it's probable. he's a perfectionist especialy regarding pitch. i can hit all those keys vocaly with 0 issue though and my musical role is generaly the same as his though on a much lesser scale publicly.
@lewismofo How do you know it isn't just his vocal style? In KsE songs like Rose of Sharyn and Arms of Sorrow, Adam's voice didn't need emphasising- because it was just backing vocals, he didn't know his full potential as a vocalist ETC. But now he can just let loose with all of his lungs!

@lewismofo I don't mind what (pro)tools bands use to get a cleaner sound for the studio recording of material- as long as it doesn't become blatantly obvious they are using computers to compensate for lack of talent/ability. That being said- i don't mind some of the vocals effects Jesse uses, the muffled parts for example, probably because he can pull them off on stage cleanly!
@lewismofo There are no over-tuned vocals here, you can here the smooth change in pitch as he sings - where as over-tuned/auto-tuned (I presume you mean) has a very robotic sound in-between each shift.
I haven't heard a single bit of auto-tune in any of Adam's vocals ever, he's very practical.
@HookakidLLC ha not all pitch correction sounds like lil wayne or kanye west, he just does it tastefully but like others have said its a tad too perfect to be completely natural, and ive noticed it in other songs as well. not a big deal tho everyone does it these days it can sound really good if not overdone
I don't see the point in people arguing about who wrote what and who did what. Does it really matter who's right or wrong? Why not just enjoy what they put out while we're all waiting for the album?

It's true. this album was completed all the way back in 2008, I have no idea why it haven't been released earlier... Maybe 'cause back then it might have fucked up KsE's latest self-titled album's sales and touring cycles...

(obv if he stayed). as daylight dies was, at best, ok. the majority of the songs sounded the same tho, same chorus pattern, which is raped in metalcore. and the 2nd self titled was a dissapointment. the 1st self titled and AOJB were absolutely groundbreaking masterpieces, jesse's voice was so right for that music, howard just watered it down :(

@KsEMasterZ As Daylight Dies was recorded in the summer of 2006 and released in November of that year. This album was finished in 2008, but Jesse couldn't find a record label that would distribute the album.
@Prenner111 If you go to Jesse Leach's MySpace he says he completed this album in 2008, he even says in one of his blogs. I remember reading something about Times of Grace 2 years ago, I'm surprised it took so long to get a label.
I don't know Adam has some pretty awesome vocals though. It was his vocals that made some of KSE songs so great... like My Curse... I was kind of hoping he'd do a solo project. However, I am SUPER F*&KING excited to have these two back together! Maybe they can get back to making good music... KSE's last album wasn't as great as I'd hope, even though there are a few good songs.

Been waiting for this ever since TEOH proved the band weren't the same without Jesse. Can't wait to hear his heart come out his throat in every song, one of the few singers in metal who still sings with emotion rather than brutality in mind.
What I wouldn`t give to have the full version of this. Great work on the song Adam, wish I had this when I was in the hospital over the summer. Really inspirational.

@lewismofo I don't mind what (pro)tools bands use to get a cleaner sound for the studio recording of material- as long as it doesn't become blatantly obvious they are using computers to compensate for lack of talent/ability. That being said- i don't mind some of the vocals effects Jesse uses, the muffled parts for example, probably because he can pull them off on stage cleanly!

@lewismofo There are no over-tuned vocals here, you can here the smooth change in pitch as he sings - where as over-tuned/auto-tuned (I presume you mean) has a very robotic sound in-between each shift.
I haven't heard a single bit of auto-tune in any of Adam's vocals ever, he's very practical.

@HookakidLLC ha not all pitch correction sounds like lil wayne or kanye west, he just does it tastefully but like others have said its a tad too perfect to be completely natural, and ive noticed it in other songs as well. not a big deal tho everyone does it these days it can sound really good if not overdone

@BlackRose2222 yea, saying it shits on kse was a tad harsh lol. but as good as end of heartache was, it would of been so much better with jesse on it. (obv if he stayed). as daylight dies was, at best, ok. the majority of the songs sounded the same tho, same chorus pattern, which is raped in metalcore. and the 2nd self titled was a dissapointment. the 1st self titled and AOJB were absolutely groundbreaking masterpieces, jesse's voice was so right for that music, howard just watered it down :(

@KsEMasterZ As Daylight Dies was recorded in the summer of 2006 and released in November of that year. This album was finished in 2008, but Jesse couldn't find a record label that would distribute the album.

I don't know Adam has some pretty awesome vocals though. It was his vocals that made some of KSE songs so great... like My Curse... I was kind of hoping he'd do a solo project. However, I am SUPER F*&KING excited to have these two back together! Maybe they can get back to making good music... KSE's last album wasn't as great as I'd hope, even though there are a few good songs.
