I believe the Mobile Director option was also offered on the 1966 models. Correct, it was a Crown Coupe exclusive and was not offered on the the sedan due to the position of the lower center pillar which the doors were attached to. I know this feature was intended for business people to discuss business proposals while being driven between meetings. To see it being used here by a couple for an indoor picnic is an interesting concept as well.
@dakota975 The Mobile Director was originally on a 1966 as a prototype/concept car. It was a Crown coupe option, rare for 1967, and downright scarce for 1968. It was an EXPENSIVE option at around $600. The romantic dining couple theme was used in many ads for 1967.
Man i dont think it would be a good look doing a business deal in car..but hey its unique thats for sure.. :)
