I'm sorry... I can't stand looking at the old nids... well mainly the warriors and the carnifex (excuse me, screamer killer). I see those models and almost want to puke. Paint job I like cuz it's highly distracting, keeps your eyes looking around so you can't focus on any specific unit.

i just started this game..i bought battle for macragge.... and im thinking about using the nids it came with, and adding about 20 gaunts, about 15 more genestealers and about 10 gargoyles, and 2 tyrant guards.... but thatll take me a while..and a lot of money...does anybody think thats a good idea?

@aapch1 Take if from a nid player that has been at nids for about 3-4 years now. Don't expect to get the entire job done with just the small guys. With the meta game leaning towards mech these days, you need either some shooting potential to kill tanks before you go in for the assault or some big guys to weather the fire after the tanks are popped or you will charge your stealers in, pop a tank and watch them get gunned down b4 killing the models inside.

@aapch1 not that I have anything against luring new players into 40K, but if you don't have alot of money to spend on models, you should either look at a MEQ army or look at Warmachine. You can get a pretty deacent sized warmachine army for $200-300 where as a 40K army at 1500pts is usually $500+ these days, unless you use just the battleforce models which don't tend to make armies that competitive unless you are playing as marines.

You do realize that using alot of Fritz's strategies, the eldar are almost unbeatable. 5th Edition is perfect for them, and with the right talent guiding them....its a nightmare.

UseVisine, yes Jawaballs is the Blood Angels player I play against in my blog and a good friend. I got him into 40K and he has really come a long way in playing and painting in such a short time. He was my padawan, but is now quite the master.

I'm sure you have checked out his painting space marine series and we are both working on a video series on how to play 40K 5th edition and a video of a game played between his Blood Angels and my Saim-Hann.

That would be so awesome! Especially since I while I was deciding on what army to play, (although I favored SM's more) I really only considered the versatile SM's or the specialist Eldar. But after careful consideration, just decided to go with versatility. Eldar are just too unforgiving to beginners (according to what I've read).
