@JaredHutcheson1 HAHAHAHAHA seriously I do hope you know that just because it is called a caiman lizard does not mean it is a caiman alligator. Lets put it this way Reptiles are broken down into four Orders which include Crocodilia, Sphenodontia, Squamata, and Testudines. The Order Crocodilia includes crocodiles, gharials, caimans and alligators you show which of these this LIZARD belongs to. The order Squamata includes lizards, snakes, and worm lizards.
@Revolution1221 After briefly researching Teiidae, I found that you are right. I had never heard of 'caiman lizards' before.
Your first comment could have been more helpful, thus avoiding any of this, but instead you simply e-laughed at me and told me I was wrong. You didn't want to be helpful, you wanted to set me up to look like a fool because you obviously get off to being a douchebag on the internet.
@JaredHutcheson1 Dude you set yourself up for that one. I told you that you were wrong and you continued to contradict me instead doing 2 minutes of research. Its more than obvious that it is a lizard just by looking at it.
@Revolution1221 I searched 'caiman' and found crocodylians. I didn't think to add 'lizard', it was most likely late at night and I was tired and only half paying attention, and baby reptiles can look VERY different from their adult counterparts. I was wrong, and you're still a prick.
@JaredHutcheson1 google search caiman lizard about 4 results down website is called a-z animals go to that link and look at the right side of the page where it gives the complete taxonomic breakdown of these guys and please tell me what order of reptiles they belong to.
These are very expensive (over $1000) and rare lizards. They have very special dietary needs (mostly snails) and need elaborate ENCLOSURES to live in, with water features.
And no, they are NOT a mix between crocodilians and a lizard, they are their own species.
Man... I wish Australia lifts the import ban on reptiles... I want these lizards so bad.
