Elmo was the downfall of Sesame Street. It was designed to be a show full of pop-culture references that parents could watch with 4-6 y.o. kids. Now it's just an Elmo showcase aimed at 2 year-olds. The show used to treat children like adults to help them grow. Doesn't happen when a 3 yo (Elmo) takes up half the show with Elmo's World.
