@infernalsatan I play both and I find that if you like aggression and body checking, choose hockey but overall I think ringette is the better sport. It's more enjoyable without offsides and once you find out how to stab the ring and hang onto it, it becomes an amazing and fun game. I love it :)

I have been playing both ringette and hockey since I was 5 with my team Chatham thunder! Ringette has taken my family all over the country! Gawsh I love this sport! Ringette is my favourite!

onee timee i had a ringette game after watching the playoffs(hockey) and i went into the boards with this girl and boarded her straight up against the glass... i felt bad. But i told her i had been watching hockey and she laughed... the ref didn't find it so funny :( they 'say' its non contact sport but uhm, it happens.

Honestly, it's like comparing Football and Baseball.. Both sports have their merits, difficulties, and challenges. You can't compare two sports, it's like comparing songs from different genres.. everyone has their own taste.

TO EVERYONE TROLLING/COMPARING IT TO HOCKEY: I've played ringette for 14 years, hockey for 10. Hockey: Stickhandling is harder- a huge part of hockey & a tough skill to master. Ringette: Spearing (a pass) is harder- rings can't really be tipped like a puck can & the timing is CRUCIAL; if you have your hockey stick lined up & cushion it properly it is much easier to receive. Skating with a ring is easier, therefore the dekes are harder & the game is much faster- making them equally difficult. TY.

Its seems like all over canada people are making fun of ringette, and theres really no reason to make fun of it becuase its just a sport. i mean ugh i just get really defensive over it , becucase i love it. and the only thing that it has in common with hockey is the fact that its on ice. The rules are different., and ringette takes better technique, and its better and faster than hockey :D
