I won an Xbox 360 ( the cheap black one with no HD) in one of these machine $23 in at $3 a play! Tried another 20 another day, couldn't do it. I think the key to doing good is too put a fair amount of money in to begin with so the timing is fresh in your head, no time wasted putting in money!

@ORUPRANKSTAZ .... I now see how this game works. Once x amount of money is deposited into the machine, this so called "fluke" occurs so that the blade actually cuts. The fact that it retracts and THEN opens makes the barber blade cut the string seamlessly. It may depend on how many bills/credits are used in ONE sitting...

Nice I just got a really nice pair of $100 headphones along with a high-end baseball mitt about five minutes later. I'm starting to think that the real expensive ones may be rigged like the stacker game where it will only let you win it if it has a certain cash-out due. No matter how sudden I let go of the button, it will still go for about an inch, even when i have it perfectly aligned with the string. But for all to know, it's not rigged on the lesser prizes. If you try, you will probably win.

I've won 2 Ipod Touch on this game. It absolutely is rigged to allow winners at certain intervals. After watching a service guy replace the empty items and do some adjustments, I discovered something interesting. The control button for going sideways is perfect, it stopped exactly when letting go of the button. The control for moving the razor forward works like this, if it is just before the string it will stop the razor exactly. But on the string there was a 10th of a second delay=miss .

this was exactly what i saw. i played 100 times and easily 80 of them lined up.

blade before the string it would stop instantly but unfortunately ahead of the string. after the string there is a delay and always missed the blade.

this really pissed me off.

to top it off the machine i was at had 4 ipod touches last week and someone won two and the string i was working on was already cut so it is winnable. i'm wondering if each prize is rigged differently or even entire machines.

@lowbanks67 I wasted 20 dollars on this, then found this out. I think that this little mechanism works like a roller coaster if you will. I believe aligning the scissor with the string is not a problem as it is ONE chain. However, I feel that when moving forward there are two chains.... There may be some sort of bearing or BREAK in the chain where the string is... Thus, if one is under the impression that there is a delay before the string hits, they are dead wrong and visa vis. It's rigged AF

It is rigged. Already confirmed with a payout rate. The side ways movement is easy. The frontward movement is rigged, and harder to perceive.

I've personally had over 9 shots at cutting the line. but the machine moves the blade half a second over the target.

Personally if your "Barber Cut Lite" has bigger prizes, your looking at a larger payout rate. Probably have better chance at wearing out the line then actually cutting it.

Love this machine, here is the golden rule...................Downloa­d the manual so your familiar with the machine(zoning etc) .Wait until the machine is stocked with an expensive item and go for it but dont leave the machine without the item even if it costs you double the price. If you have a total miss you come out to the max amount so on the next go the wire is swinging this gives you more of a chance if its not in free mode by that time. Great machine I love it

I googled this game and found the operator manual online - its programmable and can be set to payout after 350 plays or 800 plays depending on how it's set.

This shit is a big as fucking lie.it damn near impossible to win. If you did win it was because other people spent over 300-400 dollars on it. You might be able to win if you keep coming back. but it involves skill to even get the thing close to the string. even if you land perfect sometimes the arm keeps moving forward, if it has not collected enough cash. bullshit.

If the prizes are worth about $200, then the operator probably wants to make $100 profit for every win, so he would set it to pay out every 300 times. If there are cheaper prizes, then it probably pays out more often. This is assuming it costs $1.00 to play. Stacker, Barber Cut, Flamin Finger, Prize Cube, and others, all have preset winning intervals.
