Homosexual activists understand the power of words.
Please visit my channel to watch a one-minute video clip in which popular atheist author Richard Dawkins admits that homosexual activists "hijacked the word 'gay'".
The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate because it, unlike the word "gay", actually describes the behavior/attraction/relationship being discussed.
The word "gay" helps homosexual activists push their agenda.
David Pogue, who is a brilliant and insightful keynote speaker as well as a columnist, performed this same medley yesterday at the Canadian Book Publishing Summit in Toronto -- and had the audience in stitches.
O_O ummm...i could be mean, but i think it's not worth the effort. i think it knows what it is. i'll say this, he's either brave and trying or he loves attention regardless of talent level. I get satire, and this isn't really satire. I think it needed a more original tune. he should sing in a lower key, and practice more before he performs next time.
You haters are ridiculous! He wasn't trying to be the next American Idol, he was singing a fun and funny little tune, F off! I thought it was great and enjoyed it quite a bit :-D
Yes there is "intelligent" humour at TED not just mega science lectures. heh learn to love both or you'll not live to happy of a life. You gotta both have fun and be serious in life to enjoy it.
Thanks for the compliment, HPC, but while parody of the work itself is permitted, use of the work as satire of another topic, such as using the music from "YMCA" to poke fun at the "RIAA" is another story. And considering the mission of the RIAA, it is particularly ironic, don't you think?
Yes, and in fact he probably only had the live audience in mind and wouldn't be held responsible for someone else's decision to put it outside that room. But I was just joking around. There's way too much litigation in the world today, don't you think?

As someones who hates the majority of the music industry, and the long line of ridiciulous laws it has to follow, this was hilarious. XD

His arguements are really good to a certain point, but when he argues about windows, it shows he is not a great guy to please.
Majorhavoc20 2 years ago
its a great way to get his point across without a boring talk and hundreds of slides

I've always hated this guy, talking about macintosh's like they're something new. This song adds a new dimension to my disliking.

I totally agree but whoever created this channel should have known what they'd get posting this on youtube.
The cream of the crop is a rarity here as far as intelligence in responses.

friggin annoying as hell. ted should stick to geeks talking about what they know and leave the satire, comedy, performance to the professionals.

when the RIAA sues you too, you'll know it's not all geek business

It was ironic to hear a song about copyright infringement sung to the tune of a copyrighted song. I hope David's got a good lawyer LOL

He's probably not putting that out on any media other than through ted, so it's most unlikely that he actually broke any laws.
