Haha, it's funny seeing mac users praising HL2 graphics. I know they're good, but this is an old game. It's funny when mac users think the graphics are great, if you want graphics that are truly good, get a pc. There are way better games on the pc. Not saying hl2 is not a great game, haha it is one of my favorites. But, there are way better games for the pc now.
Awesome thing about Valve games is you can play them on close to Max settings even on fairly low end machines, and the Graphics still look pretty decent at that.
Does anyone know how this is ported to the mac? I know macs use x86 hardware nowadays, but half life 2 is a directx game, right? Do they use openGL with it for the mac or something?
I just got that apple student deal for the 8gb ipod touch and a iMac with i3, a nice nvidia graphics card, and 3.06 GHz this looks like an iMac to me and it seems to be running nice on the Core 2 duo brand, thanks for uploading :)
That first place behind G-man is from Half Life 1 and it had HL 1 graphics in the old pc version but now it looks little bit better. At least it shines more than it did ..but why that eye doesn't have HL2 Episode two graphics at 1:00 O_o
@xXTREY4LIFEXx I think they did do some really nice improvements, if you watch the video where I zoomed in to the pole on the train you will see it looks really good, just a year or so ago on my pc gaming computer the pole looked jagged so yes I think there has been some great improvement :)
@DigitalSL Also, Your large Monitor resolution is one of the main reason. Since higher the resolution higher the quality. (Fail for forgetting to add it)
@xXTREY4LIFEXx Remember that you can just log in to your existing steam account if you have one. Valve has made it very clear that you do not need to buy the game again for the mac if you already own it for PC. :)

@wootlanter Yes Valve added OpenGL support to the Source engine for the Mac version.

@DigitalSL It was the settings, the only improvements were the engine switch, which supports a better flashlight fire effects and HDR.
