  • I have heard Alvin Lee, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, and Roy Buchanan. Frank Marino has a little of all of them in his playing! Not to mention the speed of Joe Satriani! Frank is one hell of a talent, and this song is just a sample! Listen, and by all means enjoy!

  • live 1979 ...sizzler

  • i was 15 years old. My friend and i where locking forward to the weekend. He had bought Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush Live and i got Van Halens First album. We growed up playing Marino & Halen riffs. Then things came ahead,,,Work, and all that stuff. But 1 Guy,,,,from Upplands Väsby,,,not far from Stockholm,,,decided to go for it. His name is John Norum. Check Him Out. "Malmsten´s not so bad either..:-),,,slighty booring though" Keep it up. /C

  • the way he plays while he is singing is amazing he is also imo a Very underrated song writer. I fear due to the general public's taste in music we all may have been deprived of some beautiful music

  • There is a great place in baltimore called the "rams head live" Small but great for 400 - 500 people to squeeze into and have a great view.

Frampton played there a couple years ago and it was awesome. Not a bad spot in the place.

    Avalon is great too.

    SACTO' CA.

  • Merci Frank Marino for making this night less lonesome...

  • dude, you are sooo right!! THIS GUY WAS DOIN IT BEFORE ANYONE EVER HEARD OF SRV.............

  • the reason why he was never has big as he should be is at the the time of hendrix death

certain people thought he was cashing in on

hendrix death so most people didnt give frank

a chance unlike people like me and you

this song sounds a lot like a british band called wishbone ash

i happen to think that frank was is and will always be a one of the greatest guitarist that has ever lived up there with hendrix

  • wow!!!

  • This guy is one of the few really great guitar players alive. And not too many people knows about him.

  • One of Marino's best songs! Saw him in solana beach, ca twice in the last year! Just plain awesome!

  • Marino is simply the best. Just too unknown! :/

  • GUITAR LEGEND

  • frank marino kicks ass hes truely amazing

  • truly inspiring, amazing... SG hero, all the time

  • its someone who have concert dvds to sell of the master marino?

  • anybody have a video of strange dreams

  • I've been a fan of Frank Marino's since I first heard the Live album back in the early/mid '80's. Got to see him open for Stevie Ray Vaughan in Montreal in '86. He's an awesome guitar player, I'd love to see him again.

  • I was at that concert as well. it was great. the Ashboy Dukes opened the show. Marino played for 2 hours straight as they were asked to keep going because Vaughan was late in arriving from the funeral of his father. It was a warm and windy night.

  • Yeah, that's the one, at Jarry Park. I got there just as the Ashbury Jukes were playing, and they were alright, but then Marino came on and just wailed. As you say, Stevie was late from getting back from Texas, but did he ever put on an amazing show. Still one of my all time favorite shows I've seen. Nice to talk to someone else who was there.

  • Later on in life, Frank's bass player at that concert, became a good friend and room-mate of mine when I lived up in St-Jovite. He is the left handed player you see in some of the videos.

I also saw the rhythmics there (it was the Millerfest).

The Marino/Vauhan concert was one of the best concerts have have seen.

  • Yeah, it was a 3 day thing wasn't it? Elton John, The Eurythmics, and SRV were the headliners if I remember correctly(which is definitely up for debate). I seem to remember those 3 names for some reason, but it was a long time ago. I only went to the SRV night.

  • The first Band of the evening was called "Southside Johnny & the Ashbury jukes" if i remember well ,or something like that , but then Frank came on and just blew my mind away....and not to say that you are wrong , but , it was a COLD and windy evening...lol.....but hey , it's almost 25 years ago...

I saw him again at "le festival d'été de Québec" a few years ago with Steve Hill and ZZ top....another wonderful night!

  • Saw Frank in Santa Cruz - he still kicks major ass!

    METL

  • I was at the Santa Cruz show also...great show! UFO are great there too...

  • truely a guitar hero in every sense of the word.

  • post some more

  • Awesome! This is one of my favorite Frank Marino songs! Marvellous!

  • one i love also he didn't play this one for me thanx

  • Awesome, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love this guy. Really underated, and in my opinion, one of the greatist guitar players out there. Again, thanks for posting this.

  • The Renaissance of Frank is so heartwarming. Thanks for posting. Dave.

  • thanks for posting this

    my favorite album Juggernaugt

    AWSOME

  • This sounds alot like a Traffic song from the early seventies. Is this an original Traffic song or is there any relationship with this paticular band and Traffic. I believe it was Steve Winwood who was in Traffic.

  • It is a original tune by Frank From a LP called Juggernaut
