I'm on team Katy, but I can see why her mom is upset. No mother would want to see their daughter doing the things Katy's done. But I don't think she should try to change Katy's life just because she doesn't approve. She can have her opinions, but she should realize that Katy is her own person and can do what she wants to do.
i think she's allowed to marry who ever the hell she wants, mum doesnt like it.. mums gonna have to be happy for her daughter and get over it, the clothing choice however i can understand because i'm pretty sure my mum (and boyfriend lols..) wouldnt want me going outside in my underwear or skimpy short dresses than catch attention :P
