@sfhhy I don't believe in the 'Christian-Wiccan's' concept; first and foremost, no self-respecting Wiccan (especially if they have been initiated into Witchery) is going to try to mix the two ideas - they are pretty much complimentary opposites, but cannot be interchanged. The Christians practice a sort of repression of the Spirit, while us Wiccan Witches practice freedom and ascension of the Spirit - ascension to the One. Being a Pagan in and of itself encompasses a belief in an Earth Spirit.

@Lyviathon The only answer I can personally give to you from my training is that it takes a Witch, to make a Witch; it doesn't matter if the respective Coven is Gardnerian or not. My own training is a mix of Gerald Gardner, O. Alexander Sanders, and Gavin and Yvonne Frost, and I am a full-fledged Third Degree High Priest - I was initiated 20 years ago.

@Zer0Sum1111 This is a question that gets into what I would consider high theology and the idea that it is our "attachments" rather than our actions that are the motive force in Karma. In terms of our actions I would say that the motivation for doing good is less of an issue than the good that is done, however in terms of attachments our motivations can be very important as are our reactions and our understandings. This is one reason why self-examination and reflection are very important.

i was originally attracted to wicca, not because of the magick, but because of the peace and love that the it shows. @JinxOz Wicca is something that most people try when they become disillusioned with mainstream religion. If you ask a wiccan if they believe in the god of the christians some might say no and some might say that all gods are the same god. Really though wicca I think most people are just trying to live in the fantasy stories that they like. They cannot be practicing the true old religion because nothing much of it is remembered. The people of that old religion never wrote much.
so i dont care about speels and magic i just want peaqce in life and in nature, the talk of magic acctusally makes me not want to dig deeper, but the things i have seen and expirenced in life leads me to pursue peace through the understanding of what we cannot see but only feel. the spirit is what we need to feel to see peace in the world.
I love halloween, I do lots of things on halloween eve, the make up part is something really different, I spend hours doing halloween make up ahahaha I love the eye make up woth the black shades below it hahah, hmm I don't hate wiccans, I enjoy them & feel safe to hang out with them.

Btw, the devil is not a Christian creation at all, its a Roman derivation of Satyrs (Yeah Irony!), which were portrayed as the torso of a man and the lower body of a goat, and their own god Neptune. This was done to demonize the old religions to spur conversion to the new, sorta like in 1984. The "devil," as you put it, has nothing to do with ANYTHING: Major churches don't even preach about a hell. None of this has happened for at least a century.

You aren't going to be able to do majick just after listening to a couple of videos. You have to work with it for a months before you see real results. Also, Wicca is a very personal way of life.

One of the main principles as you say is to never harm anyone and that whatever you do comes back to you three (or more) times.
Does that only apply to spells and magic actions or any actions in general ?
Also, what is the Wicca definition of doing 'good' or 'bad' ?
Do we only count the action from the receivers point of view or the whole mankind/nature/universe ?
For example, would a spell to kill Hitler be bad and a spell to protect him good or vice versa ?

@sfhhy I don't believe in the 'Christian-Wiccan's' concept; first and foremost, no self-respecting Wiccan (especially if they have been initiated into Witchery) is going to try to mix the two ideas - they are pretty much complimentary opposites, but cannot be interchanged. The Christians practice a sort of repression of the Spirit, while us Wiccan Witches practice freedom and ascension of the Spirit - ascension to the One. Being a Pagan in and of itself encompasses a belief in an Earth Spirit.

question about wicca just out of curiosity... doesn't a person have to be initiated into a Gardener covern in order to be considered wiccan?

@Lyviathon Only in the opinion of the Gardnerian covens. The other Traditions, as might be expected, do not agree. This has its origin in the fact that different branches of Wicca use the word differently. They do not agree and likely never will.

@MagickTv ok i agree with what your saying, but if gardner formed wicca then these non gardner covens would be naturally considered false if they are not gardinarian no? myself im pagan and im learning magick, however, my self i was initially intrested in heritage and i still am but for me magick ,paganism is all part and parcel of oour great heritage,(im a celt) my self ive been lookign at wicca and trying to deny it for some time(i never just jump into things-as i was a religious person

@Lyviathon The only answer I can personally give to you from my training is that it takes a Witch, to make a Witch; it doesn't matter if the respective Coven is Gardnerian or not. My own training is a mix of Gerald Gardner, O. Alexander Sanders, and Gavin and Yvonne Frost, and I am a full-fledged Third Degree High Priest - I was initiated 20 years ago.

@Lyviathon Wiccan is a religion and it is totally up to you what kind you want to practice.Like there is Italian Witchcraft (Raven Grimassi)has very good books or you may like the celtic witchcraft.You may want to be a solitaire and work by yourself.You dont have to be in a coven.Raymond Buckland has very good books if you want to learn about the religion.This guy is really good.I liked him.

@Zer0Sum1111 This is a question that gets into what I would consider high theology and the idea that it is our "attachments" rather than our actions that are the motive force in Karma. In terms of our actions I would say that the motivation for doing good is less of an issue than the good that is done, however in terms of attachments our motivations can be very important as are our reactions and our understandings. This is one reason why self-examination and reflection are very important.

i was originally attracted to wicca, not because of the magick, but because of the peace and love that the it shows. I love nature and life in all forms and believe that every person, regardless of gender, race, or orientation, is equal. At first i didnt even want to practice magick because the thought scared me. Then i relized that what the goddess and the god are is not eveil in the leat, as i was taught bein raised strict christian. I love wicca and i am proud to be a witch :) Blessed Be )O(

@JinxOz Wicca is something that most people try when they become disillusioned with mainstream religion. If you ask a wiccan if they believe in the god of the christians some might say no and some might say that all gods are the same god. Really though wicca I think most people are just trying to live in the fantasy stories that they like. They cannot be practicing the true old religion because nothing much of it is remembered. The people of that old religion never wrote much.

@viking403 may i say that the pentical pointing down is the symbol for saintinisum :S. and before anyone starts with the "wiccans are saintinists" may i say that the devil is a Christian creation and at one point they used that to gain money by tricking people into paying the church so they can go to hevan... the church told people they can buy there way into hevan. i personally think this wrong and the devil has nothing to do with us. may all life live in peace. blessed be to all.

Btw, the devil is not a Christian creation at all, its a Roman derivation of Satyrs (Yeah Irony!), which were portrayed as the torso of a man and the lower body of a goat, and their own god Neptune. This was done to demonize the old religions to spur conversion to the new, sorta like in 1984. The "devil," as you put it, has nothing to do with ANYTHING: Major churches don't even preach about a hell. None of this has happened for at least a century.

I wouldn't expect you to understand. Ever heard of the Measurement Problem in physics? There is a lot more that we don't know about our universe. Which means there's a lot more to learn.
