I have listened to all 5 of the piano concerto for years and the 2nd is still my favorte one. The work is desolate in places only to rise again. I always feel excited and that better things are ahead when I listen to this work. I give it an A+.

hey people, there are 5 piano concertos by prokofiev, not only 3. ashkenazy has recorded all of them.

it's true... and one of them it's only for the left hand. Prokofiev was really a genius!!!

It isn't "much" more difficult to play than 1 or 3.... While it is overall more difficult, it is mostly because of the 1st movement's cadenza. The rest of the piece is very comparable in difficult to 1 or 3

Es el que más me gusta de los tres. Además el contenido musical es muy superior a los otros dos. Estaba inspirado Prokofiev y tambien Vladimir.  Si me hace llorar es que es muy bueno, ¡He dicho!
